A noncircularity exploiting adaptive beamforming scheme is presented for blind recovery of a narrow-band signal with nonzero impropriety-degree (ID). By maximizing the ID of the output signal, this new second-order blind beamformer can directly extract the signal of interest from circular interferences and noise (not necessarily Gaussian) without training signal and array calibration.
