In the present study, the expression of FCP rate was experimentally discussed. It was shown that the expression of FCP rate can be expressed as a function of effective stress intensity factor range, ΔKeff, which shows the existence of FCP threshold, ΔKth. Furthermore, according to the analysis of the distribution of FCP coefficient, B and the FCP threshold ΔKth., the new procedures are developed to derive the accurate expressions of FCP rate with given confidence. Finally, it should be pointed out that the expressions of FCP rate with certain confidence which were given in this paper can be used in the very low da/dN region (da/dN<10-8mm/cycle) and the intermediate region of FCP (da/dN=10-8~10-6mm/cycle). |
