Single mode waveguide with modulated domain in KTiOPO4 crystal is achieved using ion exchange combining with ion implantation. Different ratios of Ba(NO3)2/RbNO3 solution are selected to investigate the disparity of the effective exchange depth of Rb+ and Ba2+ in KTP crystal. The effective diffusion depths of Rb+ and Ba2+ ions are deduced according to iWKB method and RBS technique. A lattice damage layer is introduced by He+ implantation to confine the depth of Rb+-K+ exchange. The characteristic is analyzed using prism-coupling and RBS technique.
