A new inorganic-organic hybrid complex [Cu(dpa)2Cr2O7]2oH2O (1) (dpa = 2,2'-dipyridylamine) has been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction and EPR spectrum. 1 crystalizes in monolinic space group P21/n. The Cu(II) ions of 1 lie in the distorted octahedron coordination environment and bridged by dichromate anions to form 1D chains, which are further linked by weak O…H-N hydrogen bonds to build 3D supramolecular network. The EPR spectrum of 1 has also been investigated.
