In this paper, the temporal evolutions of CH2O in the nanosecond pulsed post discharge of both N2 and N2 /O2 mixture have been investigated by laser induced fluorescence technique. A 355 nm laser was used to excite the A -X band transition of CH2O and the strongest 395.3 nm flurescence has been used to monitor the time resolved measurements of CH2O concentration started from 250 ns after the discharge pulse with the maximum detecting sensitivity. The results indicated that nitrogen triplet metastablestates N2(A) have played an important role in the removal process of formaldehyde molecule.
Keywords:Laser induced fluorescence; nanosecond pulsed discharge; foremaldehyde removal
