Several kinds of azo-dye polymer films of the guest-host system were prepared by spin-coating method. Disperse red 1 (DR1), Disperse orange 25 (DO25), DR54 and Dispersed yellow 7(DY7) were chosen as second order nonlinear optical active chromphores with polymer matrix such as poly (methyl methacrylate) PMMA or polycarbonate (PC). The processing condition such as heat-treatment, chromphore concentration, absorptions and structural formula of different dispersed dye on all-optical poling characteristics of azopolymers has been investigated extensively. It is found that the second harmonic generation intensity is very sensitive to the processing parameters. Some explanations have been proposed.
