Since Internet was widely used, enterprise application architecture has experienced many significant changes, which now can generally be divided into two architecture modes, C/S and B/S. Difficult deployment and update problems of C/S and the lack of friendly user experience of B/S are always hard to solve and avoid for developers and users. Developers need to find a new technology to solve these problems, so RIA comes out. Web Service is the best practice of SOA which is more suitable for the construction of distributed application system. In this paper we combined Web Service with RIA and discussed the Web Service invocation process. We first give an overview of RIA architecture technology and related researches, and then present a Web Service-based application framework for building RIA applications and finally we provide a .Net SOAP Web Service invocation implementation as an example.
