In this paper, a distributed network measurement system is put forward based on Cloud Computing. Nowadays, as network technology is flourishing, applications over IP network become more and more popular. More and more attention is drawn in the field of network performance. Network performance metrics are important references in the process of analyzing network behavior, solving network fault and forecasting new traffics. Therefore, we designed and implemented a distributed network measurement system based on Hadoop, a widespread Cloud Computing framework. Cloud computing framework guarantees reliable storage and effective processing of mass data. Mass data of network performance indicators are stored and calculated using tools provided by Hadoop framework, which helps to evaluate network performance more reliably and efficiently.
