Reviews: A deactivation model with random reactivation mechanism is proposedto describe the network of scientific citation. In this model, theaging and the possible reactivation of nodes are taken into account.Along with the network evolution, active nodes may become inactivenodes, and inactive nodes may become active nodes again. In the evolutionof networks, only active nodes can receive link from the new node. Bothanalytical calculation and numerical simulation show that the degreedistribution is determined by the parameters m and α, where m is the outgoing links of the new node and α is a constantbias. For α=m+2, the degree distribution shows scale-free behavior.Whereas the degree distribution is exponential for α→β.Furthermore, empirical data of three real-world citation networks are studied, andnumerical results show that the model can reproduce the in-degree distribution.
