This paper proposes a car capacity model for mixed traffic flow near the curbside stop. When a bus dwells at the stop in the non-motor lane, bicycles will change to the motor lane. Thus, the presence of a stopped bus creates a temporary car-bicycle conflict, reducing the road capacity. In addition, the car-bus conflict takes place when a bus departs from the stop to the motor lane. The conflict between different streams can be represented by an M/G/1 queue. Car capacity near the stop can be derived by iteratively computing the service time of the M/G/1 queue. The analysis shows that both bus stream and bicycle stream have significant effects on car capacity.
