A plasmonic random laser is achieved using gold-silver bimetallic porous nanowires with abundant nanogaps which provide strong feedback or gain channels for coherent lasing from dye molecules. The strong confinement of nanogaps allows the bimetallic porous nanowire-based random laser pumped by ns pulse to operate well with a very low threshold and extremely low concentration of Rhodamine 6G (as low as 0.067 mM). And such random lasing can be used as pumping source of another coherent random laser with oxizine. These results open the door to studies of coherent random lasing pumped by another random laser.
