We theoretically investigate the interference effect of high-orderharmonics generated from molecules at different alignment angles. It is shown that the interference of the harmonic emissions frommolecules aligned at different angles can significantly modulatethe spectra and result in the anomalous harmonic cutoffs observedin a recent experiment {[ Nature Phys. 7, 822 (2011) ]}. The shiftof the spectral minimum position with decreasing the degree ofalignment is also explained by the interference effect of theharmonic emissions.
Keywords:High order harmonic generation, Coherent interference effect, Field-free alignment of molecules
