MnO2 added Ni0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4 ferrites were prepared by solid state reaction process, the structure and magnetic properties of the ferrites were investigated. It was found that the magnetic loss went increase-decrease-increase route with MnO2 additive concentration increase, and the optimal MnO2 doping concentration was 1.2wt%. Comparing with no MnO2 doping sample, further investigation revealed that the hysteresis loss coefficient and eddy current loss coefficient were decreased in 1.2wt% MnO2 doping Ni-Zn ferrite, but the residual loss coefficient was increased with MnO2 doping.
Keywords:Ni-Zn ferrites; MnO2 doping; eddy current loss; hysteresis loss: residual loss
