The concept and usage of corporate social responsibility (CSR) are considered as strategic initiatives. For this reason, it is imperative to consider how companies represent and practice the primary concept of corporate social responsibility. As the concept of CSR has been introduced to Mongolia since after the free market reforms, CSR and its actual implementation, all of which could be considered very contrasting and unique when compared to other countries and markets. While CSR is a relatively fresh, novel, and exciting concept for Mongolia, in developed countries with high output of academical business research, CSR has been continuously studied, researched, and differentiated for the latter of 20th century. While Mongolian companies and firms have been steadily adopting the concept of CSR in droves, the actual implementation and practice of this concept have no unified consensus or definition. And with little research in Mongolia about CSR beforehand, this research\'s main objective is to explore, analyze, and reveal the contemporary situation of CSR and its implementation in Mongolia. To conduct and analyze the current onsite situation of CSR in Mongolian companies, determination of corporate strategies, relations with stakeholders, adherence to social obligations, and to realize the effects of Mongolian companies\' CSR practice on the societal development, exploratory and deductive reasoning methods have been used to further these objectives. This research extensively used archival study, interviewing of an executive official, and deductive reasoning techniques to approach the problems presented. For data analysis purposes, case study was conducted to determine the situation of CSR agendas and domains in a Mongolian firm. Findings and results indicated that as a concept, CSR in a Mongolian firm is currently relatievely underveloped, and determined that CSR is very much in its infancy in the Mongolian market.
