The wear characteristics of PA1010, PEEK, TX and NSM with laser cladded layer (LCL) and spasm-sprayed engineering ceramic surface (SSC) respectively under water surroundings are tested. It is found that the wear of PEEK is the least when matched with both of the materials, next is TX, whereas the wear features of PA1010 and NSM vary with the matching materials. The former’s wear increases drastically with SSC, the latter wears more with LCL. Further analysis shows that the wear mechanism of engineering plastics with LCL is mainly mechanical cutting, while with SSC is plastic transfer. |
