Abstract: After researching of the special torque ripple of brushless direct current motor, the model of brushless direct current motor system has been reduced to a simple state space model which is mutative according to period of time. Further, based on the real rotate speed response, the improved genetic algorithm has been indicated to accurately identify model parameters. For verifying the validity of this method, experiments of comparing this model with other common model have been done. The results of experiments prove that the structure of the model is reasonable and parameters’ identification is precise.

PP: 2339-2346
Abstract: For the shortages of conventional DV-HOP localization algorithm, a new secure localization algorithm for wireless sensor network SDV-HOP is proposed in this paper. First, an addition of a symmetric password-based encryption and authentication program has been used to defend against spoofing attacks. Secondly, against the wormhole attacks and block attacks, an average hop distance estimation algorithm based on the safe handling has been introduced. By the judgments and comparison of hop distance, suitable distance value for each hop has been selected, so the errors and mistakes caused by wormhole attacks can be avoided effectively. Simulation results show that the secure algorithm not only has high positioning accuracy but also can effectively prevent and resist external attacks.

PP: 2321-2327
Abstract: The Monte-Carlo method is applied to investigate on the properties of electromagnetic scattering from the two-layer vegetation model, where the model is composed of single-layer vegetation and the ground with rough surface. The electromagnetic scattering enhancement caused by the interaction between the scatter and the ground in the two-layer model is considered. The presented algorithm is verified by comparing the numerical simulation to the experimental results. The angular distribution of the bistatic coefficient is also calculated for different polarizations, and the influence of the root-mean-square (rms) height, the correlation length of the ground, the thickness of the vegetation, as well as the moisture of the soil on the scattering coefficient of the two-layer model are mainly discussed.

PP: 2316-2320
Abstract: This paper analyzes existing neighbor discovery algorithm based upon p-persistent random announcement strategy. Simulation results have shown that no universal optimal transmission probability p as stated in current literature exists. And the paper also shows that p-persistent multiple announcement proposed by current literature can not improve neighbor discovery performance since it is equivalent to that of single announcement. Thus, the paper proposes a modified p-persistent random announcement strategy for neighbor discovery. Analysis and simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively improve the performance of the original algorithm.

Authors: LI Ziya
PP: 2305-2310
Abstract: With the help of Matlab simulation tool, simulation on the IEC (International Electrical Commission) model is provided in this paper. Then on the basis of IEC flicker meter, a measurement of voltage flicker which is based on the Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT). Mainly with some special properties of voltage flicker, the treatment is studied and analyzed when HHT analyzes voltage fluctuations. For HHT features, combined with theoretical and simulation results show that, empirical mode decomposition (EMD) as the core component of HHT, whose adaptive features make this treatment method very suitable for the voltage flicker detection. The results of Matlab simulation of HHT show that HHT can be applied to the extraction of the signal. And the error of the data obtained from the results is smaller than the IEC recommendation, which indicates that the resulting visual sensitivity is better than the model provided by IEC, fully in line with IEC standards. Therefore, the HHT method used in the study of flicker meter is desirable.

Authors: XIAO Han, WANG Zhaozhong
PP: 2287-2292
Abstract: A learning algorithm is proposed to detect tactile strips in real-time to guide the blind along sidewalks. At present feature-based matching algorithms are known for their robustness, but their runtime computational loads are heavy. The learning algorithm can shift much of the computational burden to a training phase, so it is real-time for detection. In order to make it affine invariant and robust enough, data used to train a classifier offline are synthesized by randomized affine transformation. Then the classifier is used to detect the tactile strips online and morphological operations are used to optimize the detected results. Results of the experiments show that this algorithm is accurate, robust and fast enough for frame-rate performance.
