Authors: WANG Jia, LIU Yu, WANG Xiaoxia
PP: 623~629
Abstract: Based on customer relationship management (CRM) theory, the paper gives a sampling investigation and analysis of Chinese and foreign railway portals from the perspective of customers. The investigated items include four parts: the information provided by portals, the train schedule inquiries, booking systems and web links. The paper gathers the data of these four parts to do a statistical research. By comparing the results of domestic portals analysis with those abroad, the disadvantages of Chinese railway portals were found, including the redundancy of information, the incompletion of functions, the existence of false links and ads links, etc. To solve these problems, the paper gives some recommendations for website construction improvement, such as removing redundant links and false links, developing booking business, recycling customers’ feedback and setting up more service functions.

PP: 619~622
Abstract: For the limitations of the traditional algorithms that can not be reasonably used to predict the traffic, this paper adopted the BP neural network and curvilinear regression coupling algorithms to add the inadequate. First, BP neural network was used to train historical data and the curve regression was used to predict the various factors, and then the predicted values were substituted into the trained BP neural network which had been trained well, so the future traffic forecasts were got. By the example of Xuzhou Jiefang Road traffic forecast, and through error analysis, the results show that this algorithm has a higher accuracy.

PP: 607~613
Abstract: In order to analyze the conflict of bicycles and left turn vehicles, this paper uses bicycles at signalized intersection as objective of research, through the study of the different states of bicycles crossing an intersection, this paper divides the conflicts of bicycles and vehicles into two cases to consider. In the first case, the conflicts of left turn vehicles and the bicycles which are initially released by green light are taken into consideration, the paper studies occupation rate of bicycles in conflict zone to analyze the effect of bicycles in this case. In the second case, the paper considers the conflicts of vehicles and free arrived bicycles, and uses theory of critical gap to analyze, finally it gets saturation flow reduction factor for left turn vehicles. The result of this study can supply the content about calculating method of vehicle capacity at intersection in Hard C Means2000 (HCM2000) and provide the basis for design of intersection signal timing program and calculation of capacity under the condition of mixed traffic at intersection.

Authors: LI Qihong, YU Xiangjuan, BAI Jing
PP: 596~601
Abstract: The differential settlement of the structure at the connecting part between embankment and abutment results in the vehicle bumping, which impacts ride comfort, increases damage to vehicles, and leads to traffic safety problems when it s getting serious, at the same time it will greatly increase the cost of road maintenance. Setting flip height at the bridge head along with the construction and repair of highway will reduce the differential settlement, delay the vehicle bumping, and reduce the workload of the bridge s maintenance. From the mechanism of flip height, this paper analyzed the dynamic settlement monitoring of the highway, based on this, it set the flip height, and researched the matched construction technology.

PP: 590~595
Abstract: For reconstruction and extension projects, design of overlay for reinforcement section is one of the important contents. Based on the reconstruction and extension project of Beijing Tianjin Tangshan expressway, considering the damage condition of old road, using the large scale finite element analysis software ANSYS 10.0 and assuming the contact condition as continuity, pavement parameter sensitivity analysis was done for overlay structure with crack on. The results showed that when the overlay model with the old road cracked was used, in the condition of balance between technology and economy, increasing the thickness of overlay was good for the structure stress.

Title: The effect of wheel lug type on tractive performance of wheel for lunar rover vehicle
Authors: SUN Peng, GAO Feng, YAO Shengzhuo, CUI Ying
PP: 558~566
Abstract: The numerical simulation of interaction between lunar rover vehicle s wheel and lunar soil simulant was conducted based on model of contact mechanics of lunar soil simulant s particle and irregular particle group system. The particle flow simulations represent the movement of soil under wheel and variational trend of drawbar pull by laboratorial soil bin test. The analytical results show the drawbar pull of wheel with negative obliquity s lug higher than the drawbar pull of wheel with positive obliquity s lug. Moreover, compared with straight lug wheel, the drawbar pull of wheel with skew lug decreases greatly. At the condition of lunar environment, the wheel with spiny lug loses tractive ability at lower slip ratio, and its tractive ability is limited at higher slip ratio. Therefore, such configuration of wheel couldn t be used as the wheel of lunar rover vehicle.

PP: 546~553
Abstract: Offshore support vessel is different from other vessels. For its special function and structure, the engine room arrangement, the choosing of the propulsion system and transmission equipment must be specially considered according to its self request. The paper shows the special design corresponding to the support vessel s concrete conditions, and the propulsive shafting is divided into two parts to transfer the torque: high speed shaft and low speed shaft. The rolling bearing is selected according to two parts of shaft; the diaphragm elastic coupling is selected to compensate the hull deflection. The alignment of the high speed shaft is done and the installation instruction is also available.

PP: 541~545
Abstract: Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software was used to calculate the open water performance of propeller in the viscous flow region and simulate the thrust and torque coefficient at different advance coefficients. The periodic boundary condition was used to simulate the viscous flow around the DTMB P4119 propeller. The influence of grid numbers on prediction of propeller s open water performance was analyzed. The pressure coefficient curves at different sections were obtained. Compared with the experimental results, the numerical results indicate the good agreement. It shows that the periodic boundary condition can be used to predict the open water performance of propeller rationally.

Title: Large eddy simulation of the supersonic circular jet screech tones
Authors: GAO Junhui, LI Xiaodong
PP: 536~540
Abstract: In this paper, the full 3D supersonic circular jet screech tones at Mach number 1.190 and 1.372 are studied using large eddy simulation (LES) method. The Favre filterd Navier Stokes equations are utilized as the governing equations, which are closed with the standard Smagorinsky subgrid model. The 7 points dispersion relation preserving (DRP) scheme is applied for spatial discretization, and a 10th order spatial filter is utilized every step to filter out the spurious waves in the computation. The low dissipation and low dispersion Runge Kutta method in 2N storage form is used for time integration. Proper non reflective boundary conditions are used at different boundary regions. The program simulates the screech phenomenon correctly. The simulated screech frequency and amplitude are compared with the experimental data of PONTON et al and the unsteady Reynolds averaged navier Stokes (URANS) results of the present authors.
