PP: 533~538
Abstract: In recent years, due to the rising of energy prices, impact of climate change on crop harvest, increasing demand of emerging economies, and the development of bio-fuels and so on, the global grain prices increased sharply. By March of the year 2008, the export prices of rice which is the staple food of residents in Asia-Pacific region increased by 98%. At the same time, prices of agricultural stuff have also appeared in a certain range of accretion, which promoted the increasing of grain planting cost. Through field survey in Yonghe town, Shangyu City of Zhejiang Province about the general situation of grain planting, grain prices, costs and revenue for farmers to plant grain in the region, as well as the cooperative mode of grain communities, a conclusion is drawn that at the present stage the grain price in our country is lower than the theoretical level, while the cost is higher. And a more intensive production of a larger scale will benefit the grain producers with a considerable revenue.

Authors: ZHANG Zhigang, ZHAI Zhendong
PP: 471~476
Abstract: The Ⅰ-Ⅱ complex crack problems under the joint action of two-way stretch and shear stress are studied by using twin shear unified strength theory. Taking the impact of non-singularity of the stress on the crack-tip extended line of stress field near the tip of Ⅰ-Ⅱ complex crack into account, the unified strength formula containing parameters of difference in tensile and compressive properties and the intermediate principal stress effect is given. The mathematical expressions of the stress intensity factor KⅠ, KⅡ of the Ⅰ-Ⅱ complex crack are deduced through the equivalent stress αeq, τeq. KⅠ, KⅡ are gained through the gradual approach of crack-tip stress field. The results are in accordance with the results from analytic method.

Authors: ZHANG Yu, YANG Xuexia, ZHAO Zhendong, SHU Xuefeng
PP: 456~462
Abstract: SnPb solder joints reliability under thermal cycling conditions(-55℃~125℃) were investigated in this paper, and the effects of solder joint shape (barrel, cylinder, hourglass) on joint reliability were analyzed for the same joint height and the same copper pad size. Finite element method was used to simulate the distribution of stress and strain of solder joints, and calculate the maximum of stress and strain under thermal cycling condition, the result showed that the outmost solder joints, the equivalent strain of which was maximum, were the most likely to crack. In addition, the fatigue lives of three kinds of solder joints mentioned above were predicted using a modified Coffin-Manson empirical equation and the value of the equivalent plastic strain based on the finite element result under thermal cycling condition, the result showed that hourglass solder joints have larger fatigue lives than the cylinder and barrel solder joints. The results provided a theoretical basis for the design of the solder joints shape for electronic packaging technology.

Authors: ZHU Dongfang, WANG Jingpeng, ZHENG Huihui, YIN Guansheng
PP: 442~449
Abstract: For different traffic loads, the stress distribution of the soil base course in the road structure is studied, with the finite element model established in the software of ANSYS. First, stress distribution of soil base under static load is simulated. And then transportation constant loads are used to simulate the traffic on the roads with smooth pavements. At last transportation harmonic loads are used to simulate the traffic on the roads with rough pavements. The results show that, the relation between car weight and the maximum Mises stress is in the linear law, and the same rule to Y direction of the stress when the load is static. Moreover, when the weight is constant and the load is dynamic, the maximum Mises stress decreases as the velocity increases, similar to a secondary trend. Furthermore, when the speed is certain, the maximum Mises stress increases as the weight increases, approximate to linear law. Through analyzing the calculation results, this paper gives all kinds of distribution of the stress in Matlab, and the results can provide the reference for the road design and construction.

Title: Calculation studies on blow-off impulse of materials irradiated by pulsed X-ray
Authors: SHE Jinhu, TANG Wenhui
PP: 436~441
Abstract: Boiloff rule irradiated by soft X-ray is studied using numerical difference simulation method, two methods for calculating blow-off impulse are brought forward, and the rule of blow-off impulse and thickness as a function of original energy fluence is gained. The results indicate that blow-off impulse and thickness of Al increase linearly as original energy fluence increasing for irradiating by 1keV soft X-ray. The calculation results agree with what are gained by some experience formula and the results of experiment. Through analyzing the principle of two methods and each calculation parameters, it is shown that two methods can all calculate the blow-off impulse irradiated by soft X-ray, but the result gained by ∑pg(t)Δt method is more exact, and in accordance with practice better.

Authors: GUO Zhibin, DUAN Wenyang, ZHAO Binbin
PP: 428~435
Abstract: At present, the methods for computing the added mass of complicated objects are not too much. The added mass of a moving body is analyzed based on different techniques in this paper. Two methods are utilized to investigate the added mass of a body with six degrees of freedom when moving. One method is to calculate the forces of body vibrating in the unbounded fluid through the technique of dynamic mesh of software Fluent, and then the added mass is obtained through some transformations. Another method is to use the panel element method together with software Gambit to get the added mass based on potential flow theory. The results are presented and compared with the experiment results. The added mass of underwater vehicle with complex configuration is provided using these two techniques.
