PP: 411~417
Abstract: Based on the structure of classical instrumental amplifier, a pre-amplifier for the measurement of electroencephalogram (EEG) signals is designed. According to the characteristics in the EEG. signal collection, a radio frequency filter, a common mode rejection circuit, a high-pass filter with reverse feedback and so on are added, which makes the common mode rejection ratio(CMRR) of the pre-amplifier higher and safer for the detected person. The results indicate that the frequency response and CMRR meet the standard, ensuring low distortion of the output EEG signal and making it suitable for the brain-computer interface (BCI) system.

PP: 393~399
Abstract: The necessity of building image retrieval system on scientific documents database is analyzed and two related problems are studied. One is that an image extraction method is proposed to extract images from scientific documents. In this method, the documents are transformed to document images, and then color histogram, one-order color moment and two-order color moment are used to find out content images from document images and a precision value of 94.3% is obtained. The other is that a rule-based related text extraction method is proposed. Different combinations of title, abstract, keywords and surrounding text are used to index the content images. The experiment result shows that using the title and surrounding text to index images results in best retrieval performance.

Authors: LI Peicheng, WANG Hongbing, XU Junjie
PP: 385~392
Abstract: With computer software being developed in the open world, quality of service (QoS) has become more and more important in Web service selection and composition, especially based on user’s preference. This paper focuses on QoS-oriented service composition and discusses how to select one or a set of Web services which satisfy as many users’ preferences as possible. The solution proposed in this paper is a voting semantic mechanism based on aCP-net (analogic conditional preferences network) on the concept of mCP-nets. Experiment results indicate that using this method can always select an optimal outcome which closely satisfies all users’ preferences. Practical applications are also demonstrated in this paper to show the performance of the approach.

PP: 379~384
Abstract: Wireless sensor networks are required to support diversiform business of differential services and efficient using resources in the whole network. QoS routing is one of the key technologies to resolve this problem. On the basis of analyzing problems of QoS routing in wireless sensor networks, this paper expands the existing ant colony algorithms, brings up one kind of distributed QoS routing algorithms which can combine minimum nodes’ energy in the path with the smallest hops, and also builds the simulation model. The simulation results indicate that the algorithm can support the different needs of resources distribution well and keep the balance of energy consumption in all the networks compared with the traditional QoS routing algorithms. Besides, the algorithm also has great adaptation for the wireless sensor networks.

PP: 372~378
Abstract: This paper presents a personalized recommendation algorithm for science and technology literature based on semantic concept similarity. It first uses user tags to build semantic concepts, and uses these concepts to represent the profiles of users and items. Based on the similarity of profiles, neighbor users are selected and content-based text filtering is used to extract recommendation items from these neighbor users’ tagged items. This approach is implemented in the personalized recommendation module of scientific literature service platform. Through experimental verification, the approach not only improves the accuracy of recommendation, but also helps the users find the new interesting items.

Title: Analysis and evaluation of reservoir resettlement risks
Authors: FENG Xue, LI Hongyuan
PP: 359~365
Abstract: As the construction of China’s large and medium-sized water conservancy and hydropower projects speeds up, and the number of immigrants increases, the implementation of resettlement faceds with more and more risk factors. This paper analyses and evaluates these risks in the reservoir resettlement using the risk management system. First of all, it establishes the hierarchy structure of resettlement risk and makes subjective probability evaluation on the relative importance of risk index applying the Delphi method, then applies AHP method assignment operation to obtain the risk weight distribution. Moreover, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method combines the qualitative indicators and quantitative indicators together, and solves the problem that the factors are too much to distribute weight.

Title: Experimental study on particle breakage ratio of artificial simulated rockfill materials
Authors: KONG Dezhi, ZHANG Qiguang, ZHANG Bingyin, SUN Xun
PP: 352~358
Abstract: It is difficult to measure the particle breakage ratio of natural rockfill materials precisely, so a series of triaxial tests on artificial simulated rockfill materials were performed and the particle breakage situation of samples after tests was sieved in detail and statistically analyzed. The test results show that fragmentary particle and completely cracked particle can be distinguished after particle crushed and the relationship between their mass percentages exists a power function. Although the influence of the fragmentary particle can’t be considered, the particle breakage ratio index based on the grain-size distribution curve is also used as a parameter of particle breakage, but the single grain-size breakage index has severe limitation.

Title: Application of analytical hierarchy process and neural network model in coal mining water inrush
Authors: SONG Xiaomeng, KONG Fanzhe
PP: 345~351
Abstract: The paper integrates correlation analysis, analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and artificial neural network (ANN) to do some analysis on forecast for coal mining water inrush. First, the paper determines the relativities between the impact factors and the state of water inrush by correlation analysis, and the results show that the water inrush is positive correlated with the karst, water pressure and the thickness of aquifer respectively, and negative correlated with the thickness of aquifuge. Then it determines the order of various factors’ impact degree by AHP, which is water pressure, the thickness of aquifer, karst, fault structure and the thickness of aquifuge. Finally, the paper does the forecast for the state of water inrush of three samples, and the result shows that the water inrush may not arise in sample 1, but may arise in sample 2 and 3, which tallies with the actual situation considerably.

PP: 339~344
Abstract: Engineering practice proved that aeration is an economical and effective measure to alleviate cavitation, the paper establishes a method for calculating drop point of jet flow from an aerator with vertical drop and sudden lateral enlargement, as a relatively new aeration facility. Impulsive forces on lower floor by jet flow from the aerator are analyzed and calculated in the paper. By optimizing bottom slope and floor shape, impulsive force of jet flow from the aerator is reduced and thus the water wing caused by jet flow is weakened. The optimum result shows that the shape of floor is better to be convex carve. Conclusions in this paper are tested and verified well with experimental data.

Title: Study on the parameter laws of watershed flow concentration of Xin’anjiang model
Authors: XU Qian, LI Zhijia, CHEN Xiangdong
PP: 335~338
Abstract: General methods of hydrological forecasting depend on the data of hydrologic network. Because the density of hydrologic network is limit, these methods are hard to apply on no-data area. So learning the area distribution rule of parameters which makes use of the limited hydrological data is important for the application on no-data area. Geometrical and geomorphological characteristics of basins have the internal connection with the basin flow concentration parameters. The Xin’anjiang model was applied on thirteen watersheds in Huangshan area, the parameter CS was analyzed and an empirical relationship was acquired between it and the watershed area, that is, CS increased with the increasing of watershed area. And based on the digital elevation model (DEM), sub-basin division with Thiessen polygon method, drainage network and stream length extracted by Arcview, a relation between Muskingum confluence segments and stream length was also established.

PP: 328~334
Abstract: Submerged breakwaters are useful structures for mitigating coastal erosion. Transmission coefficient is a main parameter used to describe the efficiency of submerged breakwater to protect the seaward area from wave actions. The transmission coefficient of waves over submerged breakwater positioned on a slope was defined, and its variations with relative water depth over the breakwater, relative depth of submergence, relative location of submergence for the submerged breakwater under a linear wave and a cnoidal wave were analysed. The results revealed that relative depth of submergence is the most important factor in affecting the transmission coefficient, and the transmission coefficient increases with its increasing.

Authors: TANG Jinzhong, YIN Chao, YANG Bo
PP: 322~327
Abstract: Based on force and deformation features of foundation and base, the paper considers the relationship between force and deformation of foundation, simplifies the foundations to spring bearings, and calculates the rigidity of spring bearing according to the additional stress and settlement of foundation. Thus the elastic mechanics problem of the foundation and base is transformed to the normal mechanics problem. The paper transforms the framework on the elastic foundation beam to the framework on the limited spring bearing, then takes the structural calculations. In this new calculation model, the superstructure, base and foundation are analyzed as a whole, the diagram is integrated, the force is clear and the calculation is simple. The method can meet the needs of engineering design.

Title: Preliminary research on the damping properties of concrete arch dams by numerical experiment
Authors: KOU Lihang, JIN Feng
PP: 316~321
Abstract: This paper analyzes the damping values obtained from prototype dynamic test and strong earthquake analysis of arch dam. Then it studies the relation between the damping ratio and dynamic reaction intensity of concrete arch dam structure through numerical experiment. Computed result indicates that when the dynamic reaction intensity is lower, the arch dam behaves linear for the compaction of its contraction joints. But in the case of strong earthquake, the characteristic frequency of arch dam decreases as the opening of contraction joints. At the same time, damping ratio increases and peak response of resonance decreases because a large amount of energy is consumed in the moving process of contraction joints. The same phenomena can be observed when the dam concrete is damaged in case of strong earthquake.
