In order to enhance the power output of SOFC with a proton conductive electrolyte, a cost-effective suspension spraying process was used to fabricate thin BaCe0.8Sm0.2O3-ヤ (BCSO) electrolyte membrane on NiO-BCSO anode support. After co-sintering at 1400 oC for 5 hours, dense and uniform electrolyte layer of only about 10 um in thickness was obtained. Using La0.5Sr0.5CoO3-ヤ(LSCO)as cathode, single cells were assembled and tested with hydrogen and ammonia as fuels and the static air as oxidant. The cell fueled with hydrogen exhibits an OCV value of about 1.02 V and a peak power density of 560mW/cm
