Safflower,as a plant of Carthamus L.in compositae,is one of blood-activating and stasis-eliminating Chinese medicines,Safflower Yellow is mainly its active component. Modern studies shows that Safflower has significant effects on Cardiocerebral Vascular Diseases This text overviews the reseach advance of safflower from chemical composition, pharmacologic action,pharmacokineticcs and toxicology respectively.
