Fixed relay has been proved to be a promising solution to the high data rates and ubiquitous coverage requirements of future wireless cellular networks. But a multi-hop link may consume multiple times of radio resource comparing to a direct link, which may result in a penalty of the scare radio resource. As a result, the radio resource partition plays an important role in the multi-hop cellular network. Some smart radio resource allocation schemes have been proposed, such as the “pre-configured and fixed” scheme and “reuse resource partition (RRP)” scheme. In this paper, the concept of “two-hop resource reuse with power control (TRR)” is first applied to the multi-hop cellular networks. Through the theoretical analysis and simulation, it is demonstrated that, for the uniform traffic distribution, the cell throughput of TRR scheme is about twice as that of the RRP scheme. |
