In this work a new modification of the Tang-Toennies potential model is presented. The repulsive part of the Tang-Toennies model is replaced by the formula of . This modification model still includes two parameters as the original Tang-Toennies potential model. After this modification, all of the terms in the Tang-Toennies model has a definitely source. This new modified Tang-Toennies potential model can well agree with the original Tang-Toennies model in the van der Waals range and produce a more realistical repulsive wall.
