A novel, sensitive and convenient determine technology based on the enhancing of the fluorescence intensity of multi-walled nanotubes (MWNTs(by copper(Ⅱ)and cupral complex was proposed.The MWNTs had the fluorescence at 367nm when excited at 230nm, when Cu2+ was added into the MWNTs and cupral system, it induces the enhancing of fluorescence emission at 367nm. Under optimum condition, the fluorescence intensity versus Cu2+ concentration gave a linear response with an excellent 0.99921 correlation coefficient, the linearity range of the calibration curve was 2.67×10-6 molL-1to 5.3×10-6 molL-1, the limit of detection(3σ/k) is 4.09×10-7molL-1, the concentrations of Cu2+ with the synthetic samples were determined by proposed method with a satifactory result.
