Under investigation in this paper are the (2+1)-dimensionaltwo-component long wave-short wave resonance interaction equations, which can be used to describe the resonance interaction between along interfacial gravity wave and two short surface gravity packetspropagating in a two-layer fluid. Via the Hirota method and symboliccomputation, analytic mixed-type one- and two-soliton solutions arederived. Soliton interactions are investigated analytically andgraphically. Oblique and parallel interactions between two solitons are observed.Relevant parameter conditions are presented.
