A label-free electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) immunoassay protocol was fabricated based on magnetic nanoarchitecture for sensitive detection of low-abundance aflatoxin B1 (AFB1). It was constructed by combining the Fe3O4 nanoparticles doped magnetic nanofibers (Fe3O4-NFs) with carbon nanohorns (CNHs) onto the magnetic glassy carbon electrode (MGCE). Owing to the specific recognition of antibody with AFB1 antigens and the effective ECL amplification of the nanoarchitecture, the proposed immunosensor shows high sensitivity and specificity and responds linearly to the concentration of AFB1 from 0.05 ng/mL to 200 ng/mL with a low detection limit of 0.02 ng/mL. Moreover, the immunosensor successfully achieves the detection of AFB1 in practical samples.
