Magnetic properties of La1-xCaxMnO3 (0.5 ≤ x ≤ 0.8) samples with the same average particle size ~ 50 nm prepared by a sol-gel method are investigated. The charge ordering (CO) transition observed in the bulks disappears completely and ferromagnetic transition occurs in all the studied samples. Exchange bias (EB) phenomena are observed except the x = 0.5 sample. Moreover, the magnetization and EB strongly depend on the x value. These results suggest that the ratio of Mn3+/Mn4+ play an important role on the magnetic properties of nanosized CO manganites.
