In this paper, an effective method to promote the morphology transformation of pre-made Pd nanocrystals, which can be single-crystalline or multiply-twinned, has been reprted. Pre-made Pd nanocubes can be converted into cuboctahedra by Br- and O2, while multiply-twinned Pd nanoparticles converting to uniform nanocubes by I- and O2. Detailed studies show that the morphology transformation undergos Br- or I- and O2 assisted oxidative dissolution followed by reduction.
