	2. Time-Dependent Hurst Exponent in Traffic Time Series

	Abstract:In this paper, we propose a new measure of variability, called the time-dependent Hurst exponent H(t), which fully captures the degree of variability of traffic flow at each time t. In order to assess the accuracy of the technique, we calculate the exponent H(t) for artificial series with assigned Hurst exponents H. We next calculate the exponent H(t) for the traffic time series observed on the Beijing Yuquanying highway. We find a much more pronounced time-variability in the local scaling exponent of traffic series compared to the artificial ones. In addition, the results show that the traffic variability can exhibit a non-monotonic multi-fractal behavior.

	Abstract:Recently, Falbel,Francsics, Lax, Parker proved that four explicitly given transformations generate the Picard modular group $SU(2,1; \\mathcal{O}_1)$. They conjecture that their method can be extended to the other Euclidean rings $\\mathcal{O}_d$. In this note, we study the case of $d=2$ and obtain five explicitly given transformations can generate the Picard modular group $SU(2,1; \\mathcal{O}_2)$.

	Abstract:In this paper we define the concept of Projective Blaschke manifolds and extend the theory of equiaffine differential geometry to the projective Blaschke manifolds. We prved that if M be a complete projective Blaschke n-sphere and its universal covering manifold is isometric to a complete (n+1) dimensional parabolic, elliptic or hyperbolic affine hypersphere, then M is a quotient space of E^n, S^n or D^n by a isometric subgroup of its corresponding spaces.

	Abstract:In this paper, we will investigate one type of vortex equations over various complete noncompact Hermitian manifolds, the related metric will be called Hermitian Yang-Mills-Higgs metric. Using the solvability of Dirichlet problem in [16] and compact exhaustion method, we can solve these Vortex equation on complete Hermitian manifold, under some conditions on the complete Hermitian manifold and the initial Hermitian metric. Then, we obtain a existence theorem of Hermitian Yang-Mills-Higgs metric on complete Hermitian manifold, this result can be seen as a generalization of the result about Hermitian Yang-Mills metrics in [22].

	Abstract:It is ubiquitous in natural and social sciences that two variables, recorded temporally or spatially in a complex system, are cross-correlated and possess multifractal features. We propose a new method called multifractal detrended cross-correlation analysis (MF-DXA) to investigate the multifractal behaviors in the power-law cross-correlations between two records in one or higher dimensions. The method is validated with cross-correlated 1D and 2D binomial measures and multifractal random walks. Application to two financial time series is also illustrated.
