Abstract:In this paper, the outage behavior of a decode-and-forward (DF) relaying network is studied in a two-hop diffusion-based molecular communication (MC) system. The MC system can be characterized by outage probability and outage events. Based on this event and probability, the robustness of the transmissions to fading is measured. Specifically, according to Shannon\'s capacity theorem and Fick\'s law, the outage probability of fading channels is investigated. The distribution characteristics of the channel gain is considered based on the proposed relaying system. The analysis of this article can be useful for the performance optimization of MC system.

Abstract:A new method based on the recency effect, a psychological phenomenon that the recent information is more prominent in short-term memory, is put forward for the QoE evaluation of adaptive streaming, which takes bitrate adaption and users' experiencing habits into account. Different from the traditional solutions, the new method uses the divide-and-conquer strategy to simplify the QoE evaluation of adaptive streaming into calculating scores of CBR (Constant Bit Rate) segments and integrating these scores to give the final QoE evaluation based on the recency effect. A subjective test has been conducted to confirm the great influence of the recency effect on the integral QoE evaluation, and then a mathematical model is developed to measure its influence. Based on the model, a solution is proposed to integrate the scores of CBR segments into the QoE of adaptive streaming service. As a result, the Pearson correlation coefficient between the scores of the new method and the subjective MOS reaches 0.953, and the new method is verified to be sensitive to bitrate adaption.

Abstract:Through the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of traditional clustering algorithm LEACH, this paper proposes an Weight and Fitness-based Energy-Efficient Clustering routing Algorithm for WSN(WF-EECA). In the cluster-heads selection mechanism , weight factor W is introduced as adjusting parameter to choose cluster-heads,and AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process, the AHP) is also citied to work out weight coefficients; In the attribution mechanism of non cluster-head node ,the clustering clustering factor F is introduced, considering cluster-head's factors of remaining energy, distance between cluster-head and base station and nodes; Meanwhile, weight is also used in the data transmission between cluster-head and base station, by the way of multi-hop and single-hop instead of single-hop. The simulation result shows that this algorithm effectively reduces the communication energy consumption and achives an obvious improvement on the network lifetime.

Abstract:Signaling pathway analysis and interpretation of the massive gene expression data is a challenging task. Clustering technology is one of the useful and popular methods to obtain these patterns inherent in the data. In order to find the best way to establish theoretical p38 MAPK signaling pathway based on Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma expression profiles, we use and compare common hierarchical clustering algorithms, such as Pearson’s correlation, Euclidean distance, Euclidean distance harmonic, spearman rank correlation, kendall’s tau, City-block distance etc, The algorithm constructs a hierarchy from top to bottom based on a self-organizing tree. It dynamically finds the number of clusters at each level. We find that,Spearman rank correlation, kendall’s tau, City-block distance, and Euclidean Distance are all fit to the analysis of the cascade composed from a MAP3K11(MLK3), a MAP2K3(MKK3), a MAPK11(P38 MAPK/β) toMEF2A in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma expression profiles. The result is consistent with the biological experimental p38 MAPK signaling pathway.

Abstract:A multi-step quantum secure direct communication protocol using blocks of multi-particle maximally entangled state is proposed. In this protocol, the particles in a Green-Horne-Zeilinger state are sent from Alice to Bob in batches in several steps. It has the advantage of high efficiency, and high source capacity.
