Abstract:This paper proposed a novel four-dimensional fractional order hyperchaotic system derived from Liu-System. EWB as well as Matlab simulations show the dynamical behavior of the proposed four-dimensional fractional order hyperchaotic system. Finally, after respectively using EWB and MATLAB, an electronic circuit is designed to realize the novel four-dimensional fractional order hyperchaotic system and get circuit experiment results which are identical to software simulations.

Abstract:The general-purpose Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) method is enriched to enable it to search for both global and robust optimal solutions of a synthesis problem in antenna engineering. In order to reduce the huge computational burden of the expected fitness evaluations, a methodology to assign expected fitness value or robust criterion only to the promising solutions is proposed. Moreover, a new distance-weighted formula to determine the expected fitness of the promising solutions is also introduced. To find both global and robust optimal solutions in a single run, a novel idea is proposed to guide the search intelligently. Finally, one example is studied and their numerical results are reported to demonstrate the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed algorithm, as well as the necessity to conduct robust optimal designs in antenna engineering.

Abstract:To address the performance degradations of optimal designs arising from uncertainties using traditional concepts and methodologies, a robust oriented cross entropy method is proposed. To efficiently compute the robust performances, the normal distribution function is used as the probability density function, and a methodology for evaluating and assigning robust performance to promising solutions is proposed. A statistical model is introduced for the constraint functions to enhance the quality of the final design. To find the global and robust optimal solutions simultaneously in a single run, the original objective rather than the robust performance parameters is used for selecting the elite solutions. Two examples are reported to validate the proposed algorithm.

Abstract:A fused fault diagnosis method based on wavelet packet decomposition of voltages of test nodes and current signals of terminals stimulated is proposed in the paper. For the faults difficult to detect merely from voltages of test nodes, the current signals of the terminals which contain sufficient information with various faults are fused with the sampled node voltages of the circuit stimulated by the sources selected according to the principles proposed to make up for the insufficiency of the node voltages resulting in maximization feature vectors and correctly identifying the fuzzy sets of faults. So higher correct classification to the faults of circuits is obtained.

Abstract:After comparing the NEC software’s results with other references’, the software’s validity in calculating the shielding effectiveness (SE) of complex metallic wire structure is verified. So the SE for an incident electromagnetic wave of the structure built with reinforcing wire mesh can be discussed at the base of the results computed by NEC. Several modes built with reinforcing wire mesh were computed by NEC in the paper and the results show that reinforcing wire mesh has good SE for electromagnetic wave while its SE is determined by many factors such as the frequency of the incident wave, wire grid size, wire radius etc. Some conclusions are useful for the EMP shielding, relay-cell design in substation and so on.
