Abstract:The construction of the modern marine industry system has important strategic significance for leading the optimization and upgrading of China's marine economy structure, and for enhancing the comprehensive strength of China's marine economy. In this study, beginning from the perspective of maturity, we proposed the concept of modern marine industry system maturity; constructed the modern marine industry system maturity evaluation index system; evaluated the modern marine industry system maturity of 11 China's coastal provinces and municipalities (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) through the improved catastrophe progression method; conducted a grade division according to the maturity model. The study results are as follows: The modern marine industry system maturity of Guangdong, Shandong and Shanghai is at the near-mature period; the modern marine industry system of Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Liaoning, Fujian and Tianjin is at the development period; the modern marine industry system of Hebei, Hainan and Guangxi is at the starting period. The influence factors of our country's modern marine industry system maturity differences include resources endowment, location conditions, industry system foundation, national policy, innovation capability and talent, among them, the national policy, innovation capability and talent are the decisive factors for the differences in the future. Finally, we put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for each province, thereby providing a strong scientific basis for formulating the marine economy development strategy necessary for achieving the phased goals of being a strong oceanic country.

Abstract:As China's capital, Beijing's economic structure has experienced great changes in recent 20 years. Many heavy industrial factories have been move out the city. This paper uses the concept of the field of influence and the method of multifactor and multi-order impact analysis (MMIA) to make a quantitative analyzation to the structural changes. MMIA is applied here as a substitution of SDA. The analysis was based on 10 IO tables from 1987 to 2010 with 29 sectors. The results show that final demands played main role to the share changes for more than two third sectors in Beijing Economy. The changes of intermediate input coefficients made dominant contributions for four sectors which are the sectors of Mining of Metal Ores, Mining of Nonmetal Ores, Power and Water, Commercial Business. The paper also made taxonomy to the 29 sectors according to the main field of influence and sign combinations of influential components.

Abstract:In this paper, we explore β-convergence of regional economic growth in panel data models with economic dependence. Using methods of spatial autocorrelation and spatial error, besides replace the spatial weight matrix with inter-regional linkages, we estimate the relation of market integration and regional economic growth from 1997-2011. Base on this, we establish three facts: The year of 2004 is a break point from 1997-2011, the process of market integration, the situation of regional economic growth and mutual effects of them all changed noticeably since then; In phase 1, there exists a trend of divergence, and the higher is the level of market integration, the larger is the disparity of regional economy; In phase 2, convergence effect arouse and the level of market integration has a negative correlation with regional economic discrepancy. We also confirm that the dynamic relationship of market integration and regional economic growth is determined by market power mainly.

Abstract:Based on economy and logistics data of 184 cities of east China, we apply methods of exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA) to examine variation in economics and logistics industry. This paper investigates the regional disparities at city level in east China by global spatial autocorrelation analysis and local spatial autocorrelation analysis, taking the correlation of neighbor cities into fully consideration and analyzing the spatial disparity of structure and function in global and local regions. The Moran's I for per capita GDP is higher than that for logistics industry in east China. The research can give theoretical evidence to provide reference for regional coordinate development and proper layout of logistics industry.
