Abstract:The message flow and message content of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol)protocol, and applications of SIP protocol are studied in this paper. The analysis of Protocol Conformance Test described in this paper focuses on the techniques that currently are often used to design a manual test case. This technique is easy but it is necessary to describe the test way and results clearly in order to avoid wrong operations and fault results caused by the tester’s wrong comprehension. By studying SIP protocol and test techniques, 37 test cases are designed to test SIP terminals, which examines the accuracy of the message flow and message content of the terminals that support the basic speech service, insures the realization of the basic speech business from the protocol layer, and validating the correctness and reliability of the test cases.

Abstract:This paper presents the Kinematics and control of an omni-directional mobile microrobot for micro-assembly in a micro-factory. The millimeters size microrobot is approximately 9 mm in length, 9 mm in width and 6 mm in height. It has three normal wheels which are connected with each other through a set of micro gears. Through a kind of special steering structure, the microrobot wheels can steer together with the same steering angles. A micro gripper is mounted on the top of the microrobot chassis, and can be turned with the front wheel synchronously. Through analyzing the rank of the kinematic matrix, the mobility freedom and steering freedom are calculated to demonstrate the omni-directional characteristic of the microrobot. Further, the microrobot and the micro gripper kinematic models are derived. Using these models, simulations show the relation between the microrobot movement situation and the control input. The microrobot is guided by an external vision system and controlled by a circuit board connected to the microrobot by flexible ultraminiature wires. Experiment results demonstrate the movement flexibility of the microrobot and the validity of the whole control system.

Abstract:A novel 2×2 wavelength selective cross-connect (WSXC) module composed of a Bragg-grating-based Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI), a pair of optical waveguide, a pair of 1×2 optical switches (OSWs) and a pair of Y-model combiners is proposed. Multi-channel multi-wavelength selective cross-connect can be realized with the proposed 2×2 wavelength selective crossbar, together with multi-stage interconnection networks (MIN). A 2×2 four-wavelength WSXC is demonstrated by simulation to show its flexibility.

Abstract:Channel capacity has important role in the analysis and design of the communication systems. Unfortunately, for the commonly used one- or two-dimensional modulation constellations, there is no closed form formula to calculate such capacity. In this paper, some simple approximation formulas are presented for evaluating the symmetric capacity of the commonly used constellations under additive white Gaussian noise channel with perfect channel state information at receiver.

Abstract:Some parameters affecting the measurement of water content in oil/water two-phase flow are detected using multi-sensor technology, and a novel hybrid intelligent prediction model is proposed to improve measuring precision of water content. Some advanced information processing technologies, such as neural networks optimized by hybrid genetic algorithm, combined meathod for decisions of multiple modules, are introduced in this intelligent prediction model, which guarantee a good prediction effect with global and fast convergence, strong generalization capability and high precision. The research result in this paper is shown that prediction precision is improved to a great extent in the all-round measuring range for water content, while the development cost is at a low valuation. It is a new and effective method for measuring water content in oil/water two-phase flow.

Abstract:In this paper, a modified MoL (method of line) is applied to solve Electromagnetic wave scattering from arbitrary 2-D dielectric coated conducting cylinders. In the process, the 2-D Laplacian equation is reduced to a series of 1-D differential equation which can be solved analytically in radial direction, by discretizing the angular direction with radial lines. Numerical results are also presented by MATLAB simulation.

Abstract:Proper wheel size can reduce heat-radiation of the micromotor for a microrobot. The optimal design of the wheel size for an omnidirectional mobile microrobot is based on dynamic analysis and simulation. The millimeters-sized microrobot has novel dual-wheel structures driven by the electromagnetic micromotors. The dynamic analysis of the dual-wheel considers the micromotor torque, the platform resistance and the bearing friction. Through analyzing the linear movement and the steering movement, the equations are derived to show the relation between the wheel size and the micromotor torque. With these equations, MATLAB simulation presents the reasonable wheel separation, width and radius. The experiment demonstrates the validity of the optimal design.
