Abstract:Since the states of the system are not totally observable, particle filter cannot collect adequate measurement information as demanded while marginalized particle filter is applied to stationary self-alignment with large misalignment angles. To solve this problem, a filtering model of initial alignment with large misalignment angles is constructed. A marginalized particle filtering method assisted by the gyro measurement information is proposed. The simulation results show that the proposed approach can greatly lighten the heavy computational load with high dimensions and large initial errors, quicken the alignment speed of the azimuth misalignment angle, and get higher initial alignment precision than the conventional method with ordinary particle filter.

Abstract:For more safety, capacity and efficiency of the current navigation system in the future air transport, the concept of the Future Air Navigation Systems (FANS) is presented. The benefits of new navigation system also put forward higher requirements on the navigation system which the traditional land-based radio navigation system cannot satisfy. As the land-based radio navigation system has the characteristics of low cost, it is meaningful to upgrade and transform the traditional land-based navigation system to adapt to the Future Air Navigation Systems. This paper presented a new type of modelling and simulation technique for the new type land-based radio navigation system that uses spread spectrum technology, so that the accuracy of land-based system can be improved to reach the necessary requirements. Finally, the navigation process was simulated. Compared with the traditional land-based radio navigation, the result of this simulation reflect higher accuracy and better navigation algorithm.

Abstract:As a newly angular rate sensor, Fiber Optic Gyro (FOG) is widely applied in inertial navigation system (INS), and technical of error cancelling is of great importance. According to its application and characteristics in INS, error signals of FOG are classified, and such methods as wavelet threshold filtering and rotating modulation are studied to reduce errors like constant error, long-time drift, noise and so on. The basic principles of these two methods are analysed and practical engineering problems are discussed. Experiment is done, and the results indicate that combination of wavelet filtering and rotation modulation can inhibit the specific error effectively, and the technologies are of wide application.

Abstract:FSINS (Fiber Strapdown Inertial Navigation System) based on fiber optic gyros, is used more and more widely nowadays. The navigation precsion of FSINS is mainly determained by the performance of its inertial measurment unit (IMU, including three fiber optic gyros and three accelerometers).Different from the traditional FSINS, this paper proposed a new conformation named RFSINS( Rotary FSINS ) to improve the navigation precsion of SINS, by adding a rotating disk, on which two mid-precision FOGs were placed orthogonally, while the third high-precision FOG ,which is sensing orientation angular rate, isn't fixed on the disk. The purpose of the proposed scheme of RFSINS is to increase the presiton of inertial navagation system clearly as well as lower it's cost, in the way of modulating and depressing the errors of IMU through the rotating disk. The error-modulated theory of RFSINS was analysed, and the structure of RFSINS was proposed. And also, a method of compensating the FOG's output errors which caused by the temperature in RFSINS was propsed in this paper. At last, the result of simulation and experimentation indicated that the propsed scheme can improve the positioning precision of strapdown inertial navigation system apparently. Besides, in line with the development of FSINS, the proposed scheme with the characters of low-cost and high-precision,will have great value in its engeering application.

Abstract:Thanks to its advantages that beat the traditional film, digital cinema is becoming more and more popular. But its strong points also bring some problems, one of which is that its convenience of storage and transmission makes it more likely to be pirated. Therefore, security is very important to digital cinema. This paper designs a security system which includes digital certificate manager, digital cinema issuer, encrypted digital cinema package producer and digital cinema manager, based on some security key techniques and digital cinema standards. The paper will clarify the functions of each part and explain how they work together. In order to be practical, the system is designed to be compliant with the specifications released by Digital Cinema Initiatives, LLC (DCI).

Abstract:A novel stereo matching algorithm is proposed based on the sub-pixel matching scheme. Because much information of the scene is lost in the sampling grid, the disparity maps obtained by sub-pixel matching have more precise structures than those by integer-pixel matching. Sub-pixel values are essential to the performance. In order to compute the sub-pixel values as close as possible to the actual ones, we propose the half phase DCT (HPDCT) interpolation algorithm. It improves upon the DCT-based algorithm based on the characteristics of the disparity map. We also compare the HPDCT algorithm with the linear interpolation and nearest-neighbor interpolation algorithms. Both the subjective evaluation and objective index demonstrate the advantages of the proposed algorithm over integer-pixel matching and sub-pixel matching with the other two interpolation algorithms.

Abstract:The video encoder with low-complexity has received a lot of attention in recent years, where distributed video coding (DVC) and compressive sensing (CS) are proposed as two enabling techniques. On one hand, by exploiting the correlation at the decoder rather than the encoder, DVC shifts the computation burden from the encoder to the decoder. On the other hand, the framework of CS has shown that sparse signals can be recovered from far less samples than that required by the classical Shannon-Nyquist Theorem. In this paper, to utilize advantages of both two techniques, we introduce a sub-sampling enhanced DVC (SSED) framework. Two layers are transmitted in SSED, where the base layer is generated by a standard video coder, while the sub-sampling enhancement layer is generated by CS operation to improve the signal quality in the base layer. When compared with the traditional fully-sampling framework, SSED saves huge sampling and storage costs due to the sub-sampling operation. Furthermore, without compromising the recovered video quality, SSED is shown to enjoy more favorable features, i.e., rate reduction, robustness to channel loss and lower operation complexity, which are verified by simulations. These results demonstrate that SSED is a promising framework in video streaming applications.

Abstract:In this paper, we propose a low-rate high-resolution ranging method for UWB (up to several GHz of sampling rate) ranging system. It exploits compressed sensing (CS) theory and a parallel sampling ADCs structure based on random projection (PSRP). To guarantee the effective application of CS on the received signal, we construct a dictionary in which the atoms are time-shifted versions of the transmitted signal. Hence the received signal can be low-rate sampled by PSRP. For an UWB ranging system using PSRP instead of the newly pro- posed analog-to-information converter, it possesses the universality of dictionary atoms, lower sampling rate and better performance for noisy signal. Addition- ally, since the dictionary size in this work can be adjusted flexibly, a desired high resolution can be achieved. The simulation results confirm these advantages via a noisy received signal (SNR=16dB) which contains five target echoes. Though the received signal is sampled at less 10% of Nyquist rate, the probability of echo detection is over 95% and the distance resolution reaches the optimal of the conventional ranging method.

Abstract:It is very important to detect the flaw echoes for ultrasonic nondestructive evaluation in high background noise. The existing methods based on wavelet transform (WT) mainly use a wavelet basis to match a signal. As is well known, there are dozens of wavelet modes in all, whereas the signal may appear in various forms in practical application. Then the optimal match between the wavelet basis and the signal is difficult to be generated due to the constraints of wavelet. In this paper we propose a method of signal matching wavelet (SMW) for ultrasonic flaw detection in high background noise. In SMW the transmitted signal is designed to be a wavelet mode for matching a wavelet basis. Since our method gets rid of the constraints of wavelet, the optimal match between the echo signal and a wavelet basis is easy to be achieved. And we analyze the energy distribution of ultrasonic signal and propose the energy matching criteria to design the transmitted signal, which guarantees the optimal match. Furthermore, we put forward a scheme for choosing system parameters and the parameter of transmitted signal to enhance the matching capacity. In addition, a low-rate equivalent discrete WT (DWT) structure based on polyphase decomposition is designed to reduce the hardware cost and farther facilitate practical application. Finally the simulative results show that SMW can efficiently detect the flaw under high background noise even for the SNR low to -20 dB, which cannot be obtained by using other methods to our best knowledge.
