Abstract:Based on extended state observer (ESO), we propose adaptive robust control (ARC) for dual motor driving servo system, in which there exist nonlinearities affecting control performance. First, backlash and friction phenomenon are analyzed in detail and nonlinear model of the plant is derived. Then, for the obtained nonlinear model of dual motor drive servo system with perturbation and disturbance, ESO is designed to estimate the lumped uncertainty online before designing ARC. Considering the estimated lumped disturbance signal, Lyapunov approach is employed to design adaptive law, which guarantees closed-loop stability and boundedness of all signals. Furthermore, transient performance of tracking behavior is guaranteed by initialization in the sense of $L_infty$ norm. Finally, extensive experimental results on a practical test rig validate the effectiveness of our proposed method.

Abstract:It has been shown that many complex networks share self-similar properties. To reveal the ubiquitous characteristics that many real networks may have in common, we first improve the box covering algorithm and use it to measure several real industrial competition networks. As a result, we find some real industrial competition networks illustrate the fractal properties. In order to reveal the growth mechanism of the network, we introduce a motif-hierarchical model, we simulate how the fractal structure of the industrial network may be formed, and to some extent verify the disassortative process to be one important self-organizing mechanism of the industry system.

Abstract:This paper considers the problem of simultaneously determining the price and inventory control strategies for deteriorating items. It is assumed that the rate of deterioration can be reduced by means of effective capital preservation technology investment and the demand rate is a function of selling price. The objective of this study is to simultaneously determine the optimal selling price, the optimal length of replenishment cycle and the optimal preservation technology investment such that the total profit per unit time is maximized. First, for any given preservation technology investment, we prove that the optimal selling price and the optimal length of replenishment cycle exist and are unique. Next, we show that the total profit is a concave function of the preservation technology investment. Then, an effective algorithm is designed to find the optimal solution of the proposed model. Finally, numerical examples to illustrate the solution procedure and some managerial implications are provided.

Abstract:This paper investigates the control problem of the finite-timeattitude synchronization and tracking for a group of rigidspacecraft in the presence of environmental disturbances. A new fastterminal sliding manifold is developed for the multiple spacecraftformation flying under the undirected graph topology. Based on thefinite-time control and adaptive control strategies, a noveldecentralized finite-time control law is proposed to force thespacecraft attitude error dynamics to converge to the small regionsin finite time, and an adaptive law is applied to estimate thedisturbance. The finite-time convergence and stability of the closedloop system can be guaranteed by Lyapunov theory. Simulationexamples are provided to illustrate the feasibility of the controlalgorithm.

Abstract:The problem of attitude synchronization and tracking for a group of rigidspacecraft is investigated in this paper under the general directedcommunication topology. Combining the strategies of finite-timecontrol, fast terminal sliding mode control and adaptivecontrol, a novel decentralized finite-time control law is proposedin the presence of inertia uncertainties and environmentaldisturbances. The new control scheme ensures that each spacecraftcan attain the desired time-varying attitude and angular velocity infinite-time while maintaining attitude synchronization with otherspacecraft in the formation. The feasibility of the controlalgorithm is investigated by an illustrative simulation example.

Abstract:Recently, according to the Lyapunov second method, the existence, uniqueness and stability of the solutions of stochastic differential equations have been considered by many authors. However, there are a number of difficulties encountered in the study of the stability of stochastic partial differential equations by the Lyapunov second method because Ito formula can not work. In this paper, by the Banach fixed point theorem,we study the existence and asymptotic stability in pth moment of the mild solutions to neutral stochastic partial differential delay equations with impulsive jump. Sufficient conditions ensuring the asymptotic stability of the neutral stochastic partial differential delay equations with impulsive jump are established. The main results obtained improve and generalize the earlier results.

Abstract:This paper proposes a support vector machine (SVM)-based fuzzy system (SVM-FS), which has good comprehensibility as well as satisfactory generalization capability. SVM provides a mechanism to extract support vectors for generating fuzzy IF-THEN rules from training data. In SVM-FS, SVM is used to extract IF-THEN rules; the fuzzy basis function inference system is adopted as the fuzzy inference system. Furthermore, we theoretically analyze the proposed SVM-FS on the rule extraction and the inference method comparing with other fuzzy systems; comparative tests are performed using benchmark data. The analysis and the experimental results show that the new approach possesses high comprehensibility as well as satisfactory generalization capability.
