Abstract:The theoretical calculation of the first experimental results about third harmonic generation in gas-filled waveguide by the femto-second laser pulses is proposed. It is found that the walk-off and phase modulation exert an important effect on the pressure-signal curve, the ratio of signal intensities in different modes and the efficiency of the third harmonic generation. It is also found that the calculation result of the third harmonic generation efficiency approaches the corresponding experimental result.

Abstract:erfusing slices with histamine (1-100 μM) produced the rat rubral neurons an excitatory response (118/132, 89.4%). The histamine-induced excitation was not blocked by the low-Ca2+/high-Mg2+ medium (n=10), supporting a direct postsynaptic action of the amine. Histamine H2 receptor antagonist ranitidine effectively blocked the excitatory response of rubral neurons to histamine (n=26), but H1 receptor antagonist triprolidine did not (n=24). The excitatory effect of histamine could be mimicked by dimaprit, a highly selective H2 receptor agonist (n=24), and the dimaprit-elicited excitation of the rubral neurons could be blocked by ranitidine (n=16), but not by triprolidine (n=9). In addition, H1 receptor agonist 2-pyridylethylamine could not elicit rubral neurons any response (n=12). These results indicate that histamine excites RN neurons through H2 receptors and suggest that the histaminergic afferent fibers may play an important functional role in the sensorimotor integration through th

Abstract:euroanatomical studies have revealed a direct hypothalamocerebellar histaminergic pathway, and our previous works have demonstrated an excitatory effect of histamine on granule and Purkinje cells of the cerebellar cortex. In this study, we further investigated the effect of histamine on the neuronal firing of cerebellar interpositus nucleus (IN) by using the cerebellar slice preparations. Eighty-seven IN cells were recorded from 38 slices. The vast majority of the cells responded to histamine stimulation with an excitatory response (79/87, 90.8%), and the rest of them showed no reaction (8/87, 9.2%). The histamine-induced excitation was not blocked by application of low-Ca2+/high-Mg2+ medium (n=8), supporting a direct postsynaptic action of histamine. The histamine H2 receptor antagonist ranitidine effectively blocked the excitatory response of IN cells to histamine (n=23), but the histamine H1 receptor antagonist triprolidine could not significantly block the histamine-induced excit

Abstract:astric vagal and cerebellar fastigial nuclear afferents have been implicated in the regulation of food intake by their communication with lateral hypothalamic area (LHA), which is generally referred to be the feeding center. This study was designed to examine the possible convergence of the inputs from the gastric vagal trunks and cerebellar fastigial nucleus (FN) on the LHA neurons. Among recorded 191 LHA neurons, 99 (51.8%) responded to the stimulation of the gastric vagal trunks, of which 55 (55.6%) also responded to the cerebellar FN stimulation. Of 62 LHA neurons that responded to the gastric vagal stimulation, 43 (69.4%) showed an inhibitory response to the intravenous glucose application indicating they were glycemia-sensitive neurons. When the gastric vagal trunks and cerebellar FN were stimulated simultaneously, a summation of the responses usually could be seen in the recorded LHA neurons (16/20, 80%). Moreover, of 45 LHA neurons that responded to both of the gastric vagal t

Abstract:Ultrathin La2O3 gate dielectric films were prepared on Si substrate using La(tmhd)3 source by low-pressure metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD). The growth processing, interfacial structure and electrical properties have been investigated by various techniques. The ultrathin films deposited at 600℃ show amorphous structure with smaller roughness of ~0.2nm and larger bandgap of Eg=6.18eV. This is attributed to the interfacial layer existence of compositionally graded La-Si-O silicate. Due to the chemical instability of La2O3 films in ambient, it can absorb vapor and carbon dioxide, which leads to the deterioration of electrical properties. By introducing Al2O3 capping layer, the reliable value of equivalent oxide thickness around 1.8 nm of La2O3/Si has been achieved.

Abstract:A series of extended-conjugation N-Aryl pyrrolo [3,4-d] annulated tetrathiafulvalene derivatives (3a-d)were synthesized via cross coupling of 4,5-diethyl- thio-1,3-dithiole-2- one with N-aryl-(1,3)-dithiolo[4,5-c]pyrrole-2- thiones (10a-d), the later were obtained by the ring closing reaction of 4,5-bis(bromomethyl)-1,3-dithiole-2- thione (7) and aromatic amines(8a-d). We also studied electrochemical behavior of 3a-d by means of Cyclic Voltammetry. All these compounds have comparable or lower half-wave potentials than those of N-alkyl-pyrrolo[3,4-d] annulated tetrathiafulvalene derivatives (2a-c) which have been reported previously .

Abstract:We demonstrate the different effect of different baryons impurities on the static properties of nuclei within the framework of the relativistic mean-field model. Systematic calculations show that $\Lambda_c^+$ and $\Lambda_b$ has the gluelike role the same as $\Lambda$ hyperon for lighter hypernuclei. $\Xi^-$ and $\Xi_c^0$ hyperon has the gluelike role only for the protons distribution in nuclei, and for the neutrons distribution $\Xi^-$ and $\Xi^0_c$ hyperon plays a repulsive role. On the other hand, $\Xi^0$ and $\Xi^+_c$ hyperon attracts surrounding neutrons and reveals a repulsive force to the protons. We find the different effect of different baryons impurities on the nuclear core is due to their different isospin, and $\rho$ mesons play an important role.

Abstract:This paper presents data of length, weight, and longevity gathered from literature and FishBase belonging to 195 fish species and 69 families. Compared with intraspecific weight-length relationship (W~L3.0), interspecific weight scales as 2.5-power of length (W~L2.5). Additionally, interspecific longevity also shows a weak power-relationship with body length (S~L0.525).

Abstract:In this paper, the reservoir is modeled by homogeneous two-phase media based on BISQ model. We focus on the effects of the squirt flow on the fundamental guided waves propagation in borehole embedded in saturated porous media excited by monopole, dipole and quadrupole point sources. The full waveforms acoustic logging in a fluid-filled borehole are simulated. The curves of velocity dispersion, attenuation coefficients and excitation of the fundamental guided waves have shown that velocity dispersions are almost independent of the characteristic squirt flow length, attenuations of guided waves are enhanced due to the squirt flow, and excitations of guided waves are decreased due to the squirt flow. It is possible to estimate the characteristic squirt flow length by attenuation coefficients of the guided waves from acoustical logging data.

Abstract:Based on the fundamental law of the geometrical lens, the compound lens is studied, in order to optimize the axial irradiation uniformity of the laser. Research outcome shows that the adoption of the compound lens is capable of increasing the axial line-focus length to a certain extent. Meanwhile, after the energy attenuation in the plasma has been considered, moderating the optical parameter of the compound lens to get the corresponding energy output to compensate for the attenuation optimizes the irradiation uniformity along the line-focus.
