Abstract:Secure group communication is one of the important secure services for the applications of wireless sensor networks because they are widely used in military as well as civilian operations. It is not very practical to assume the secure communication channels existing between group manager and each of its members just after the deployment, since most pair-wise key pre-distribution schemes in wireless sensor networks are connected with little probability. It means that it is probabilistically success for group manager and each of its members to build a secure communication channel using the pre-distributed pair-wise key at the initialization of wireless sensor networks. In this paper we propose the improved self-healing key distribution scheme which could add a strange node with coalition of t+1 group members. A so-called strange node is the node which has no secure communication channel with the group manager. We prove in an appropriate security framework that our scheme is self-healing with revocation property and extendable property under t+1 coalition. Finally, we provide a comparison in performance between our results and other existing solutions.

Abstract:Domestic video clips usually contain Chinese captions. The captions include rich semantic information and they are valuable descriptions of the video content. Extracting the high-level semantic of caption can help people to understand the content of the video easily and it also can make the video retrieval more efficiently. In this paper, an approach, which is based on semantic correlation between sentences in a caption text, is proposed to generate the summarization of the caption. Firstly we get the caption text of the video and segment the caption text into words and sentences to complete information segmentation. Secondly using the clustering algorithm, sentences are clustered to implement information combination. Finally representative sentences are extracted from each class to generate the summarization of caption, which can be considered to be video summarization Experimental results indicate that the method is feasible and useful.

Abstract:Behavior and characterization of users is an important issue in the design and maintenance of websites. Analysis of the Web access logs can offer deep comprehension to the Web usage and facilitate the Web personalization. This paper presents a method for Web user categorization from Web log files. A link graph is constructed firstly after the data cleaning and transaction identification with original Web log data. The similarity between two pages in the link graph are defined which is based on the page link information and by merging the similar pages into a page class the link graph is compressed. Finally we use the FDOD, a measure of discrepancy between ordered sequences, to categorize the link paths into several classes. The experiments on an actual Web site log data are tested and the results indicate that the approach proposed have advantages of easy-to-use, fast-response and good accuracy.

Abstract:In this paper we describe a neural network model-adaptive singular value extraction(ASVE) for multiple singular values extraction based on an extension of the Hebbian learning rule, and then apply it to image compression. The ASVE-based image compression scheme is based on the APEX–like algorithm proposed by Diamantaras. It is shown experimentally that the proposed scheme leads to good compression ratio and satisfactory image quality.
