Abstract:In our previous work, we devoted our major work into the reproducing kernel method, based on the work we have done, in this paper, we mainly introduce this effective numerical method and use it to solve a class of fractional differential equations. At the beginning of the paper, we first give out the definition of the Riemann-Liouville fractional differential operator, then, introduce the main idea of how to use the reproducing kernel method to solve the fractional differential equations, after that, we give some famous examples to show the effective of it, at the end of this paper, we draw a conclusion that reproducing kernel method is an effective method.

Abstract:In this paper we study the Gevrey regularity for the weak solutions to the Cauchy problem of the non-cutoff spatially homogeneous Botlzmann equation for the Maxwellian molecules model with the singularity exponent $sin (0,1)$. We establish that any weak solution belongs to the Gevrey spaces for any positive time.

Abstract:In this paper, stability and bifurcation of a second order neutral differential equation is considered. Firstly, analyzing the root distribution about the associated characteristic equation of a general second order neutral differential equation.With the obtained results, the sufficient conditions of Hopf bifurcation are derived with respect to two parameters $ au$ and $p$, respectively. Moreover, interesting phenomenon such as stability switches can also occur for this equation. Some Numerical simulations are given to illustrate the analytic results.

Abstract:By using unary monotonic functions on [0,1] which maybe non-continuous, we introduce a new kind of fuzzy implicationscalled $h-e-$implications, and analyze its basic properties, such asleft neutrality, exchange principle, contraposition and thecontinuity, etc. Several known classes of fuzzy implications derivedfrom unary functions are shown to be the particular cases of$h-e-$implications. It is also shown that the family of$h-e-$implications differs from the well known classes of fuzzyimplications, i.e., (S,N)-, R- and QL-implications. The resultsobtained in this paper will be helpful to improve the operatortheory for approximate reasoning. At the same time, they will alsoenlarge the operator space for intelligent systems.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the evolution of hypersurfaces with perpendicular Neumann boundary condition under mean curvature type flow, where the boundary manifold is a convex cone. We find that the volume surrounded by the cone and the evolving hypersurface is invariant. By maximal principle we prove that the solutions of this flow exist for all time and converge to some part of a sphere exponentially as time tends to infinity.

Abstract:This paper proposes two modifiedsusceptible-infected-recovered-susceptible (SIRS) models onhomogenous and heterogeneous networks, respectively. In the study ofthe homogenous network model, it is proved that if the basicreproduction number $R_0$ of the model is less than one, then thedisease-free equilibrium is locally asymptotically stable andbecomes globally asymptotically stable under the condition that thethreshold value $R_1$ is less than one. Otherwise, if $R_0$ is morethan one, the endemic equilibrium is locally asymptotically stableand becomes globally asymptotically stable under the assume that thetotal population $N $ will tend to a specific plane. In the study ofthe heterogeneous network model, this paper discusses the existencesof the disease-free equilibrium and endemic equilibrium of themodel. It is proved that if the threshold value $ ilde{R}_0$ isless than one, then the disease-free equilibrium is globallyasymptotically stable. Otherwise, if $ ilde{R}_0$ is more than one,the system is permanent. A series of numerical experiments are givento illustrate the theoretical results. We also numerically predictthe effect of vaccination ratio on the size of HBV infected mainlandChinese population.

8. A parallel SOR iterative algorithm for solving dense linear systems of equations
ZHANG Yun,CUI Shubiao,ZHOU Huamin
Mathematics 29 December 2013
Show/Hide Abstract | Cite this paper︱Full-text: PDF (0 B)
Abstract:The Successive Over-Relaxation method (SOR) is a stationary iterative solver for linear systems of equations which is widely used. However, it is difficult to be parallelized due to tight data correlations in each iteration step. A parallel SOR algorithm for dense linear systems of equations is considered in this paper, the convergence property of which is identical to the original SOR method. The iteration steps of the original SOR are first replaced by an equivalent iterative form and thus data correlations in each iteration step are decreased. And then a matrix partitioning method and a prejudication algorithm are employed to perform computing pipelines in iteration steps. Since there are time lags between computing pipelines on different processors, indispensable synchronizations can be replaced by asynchronous communications and thus the communication cost for parallel computing would be greatly decreased. Numerical experiments have been performed on both a quad-core personal computer and a 6-nodes computer cluster. The numerical results show that the present parallel SOR method can yield a parallel speed-up factor of 3.5 on the quad-core personal computer and acquire a practical linear parallel speed-up on the 6-nodes computer cluster.

9. A construction of stable equivalences of Morita type
Hu Wei | |||
Mathematics 27 December 2013
Show/Hide Abstract | Cite this paper︱Full-text: PDF (0 B)
Abstract:Stable equivalences of Morita type is a basic equivalent relation between finite dimensional algebras, introduced by Brou'{e} in the study of modular representation theory of finite groups. It is closely related to the famous Abelian Defect Group Conjecture. Later, Liu and Xi give a series of methods to construct stable equivalences of Morita type between general finite dimensional algebras. In particular, they proved that: If a stable equivalence of Morita type between two basic self-injective algebras $A$ and $B$ takes the socle $soc(P)$ of an indecomposable projective-injective $A$-module $P$ to the socle $soc(P')$ of an indecomposable projective-injective $B$-module $P'$, then the quotient algebras $A/soc(A)$ and $B/soc(B)$ are stably equivalent of Morita type. In this note, generalize this result by given a more general construction of stable equivalences of Morita type. Particularly, we improve the above mentioned result by remove the condition that $A$ and $B$ are self-injective.

Abstract:Considering the $lpha$-relative normalizationon hypersurfaces, we derive the equations of hypersurfaces with$lpha$-relative Gauss-Kronecker curvature. By solving two linkedMonge-Amp$grave{e}$re equations with Dirichlet boundary conditions,we construct hyperbolic hypersurfaces such that their$lpha$-relative Gauss-Kronecker curvature are the given functions.
