	Abstract:In the absence of valid medicines or vaccine,quarantine and isolation strategies are the most important andeffective measures against the epidemics such as SARS (Severe AcuteRespiratory Syndrome). In this paper, the stability analysis of thedisease-free equilibrium for both Single area and Multi-area SEQIJRSARS transmission model with the quarantine and isolation controlwere addressed respectively. For the single area transmission model,the stability condition of the disease-free equilibrium were givenand reveal that when the levels of hygiene precautions duringisolation ξJ are very high, neither the quarantine ofasymptomatic individuals nor the isolation of symptomaticindividuals can control the epidemic separately, and the thresholdvalue of the ξJ were given correspondingly. For the Multi-areatransmission model, the influence of the inter-area population flowto SARS control were mainly considered.

	Abstract:In this paper, synchronization stability problem for arrays of linearly coupled multiple delayed neural networks is studied on the basis of LMI method. The derived results greatly improve and generalize some earlier results. Some key problems between stability of recurrent neural networks and synchronization stability of arrays of coupled neural networks are discussed in some Remarks. An numerical example is used to illustrate the effectiveness of the derived results.

	Abstract:This paper mainly studies the stabilizability and exact observability of complex stochastic linear systems. The real stochastic system, equivalent to the complex stochastic system, is constructed in order to study the stabilizability and exact observability of the complex stochastic system with the spectrum technique. Then a necessary and sufficient condition for the stabilizability of complex stochastic systems is given with the aid of the operator spectrum. A stochastic Popov-Belevith-Hautus Criterion for exact observability is presented. As an application, a result on Lyapunov-type equations is obtained.

	4. Straight-Line Path Following of Asymmetric Underactuated Ships

	Abstract:For the non-linear model of an asymmetric underactuated surface ship with non-diagonal inertia and damping matrices, the straight-line path following control problem is investigated in this work. First, the error model is converted to an advantageous form by novel state and input transformations; the direct Lyapunov method and back-stepping approach are then used to derive a state feedback control law. The proposed control law guarantees global asymptotic convergence of the ship to the desired straight-line path with a desired surge speed which is supposed to be bounded and not convergent to zero. Simulation results show the effectiveness of proposed control law.

	5. Robust state feedback control in a Boost converter with uncertain parameters

	Abstract:In this paper, considering the capacitance equivalent series resistance (ESR) and load resistance which due to running conditions caused by the factors such as parameters change， Boost converters are mainly discussed. When the range of changes for uncertain parameters is not very large, Boost converters of small signal model with uncertain parameters still can be built. After building the model, based on linear matrix inequality (LMI) and Lyapunov stability theorem, sufficient conditions of robust stabilization for Boost converters are obtained. According to the uncertain parameters are unknown but bounded, Robust state feedback controllers are designed. Finally, the numerical simulations have verified the validity of this method.

	6. Parameter Estimation of Biochemical Networks Model Using Filter Technology

	Abstract:The mathematic model of a signal transduction networks can be used to analysis the system properties and give the future predict of the dynamic process. Thus, to effectively estimate model parameters is very important for developing appropriate models. It is still difficult to estimate the parameters of the system model because of laboratory constraints like observable players, sample size, noise level, and stimulation options. Inspired by the application in the control field, the extended Kalman filter technology was proposed to estimate the parameter of the biochemical networks in addition to the unobserved state variables. For this purpose, the TNF-α introduced NF-κB signal transduction pathway model is considered, and simulations show the effectiveness of filter technology.

	Abstract:This paper investigates the problem of robust weighted H∞ control for a class of switched nonlinear systems with time delay. Based on multiple Lyapunov function and the average dwell time method, stability criterion is derived by using LMI technique. Then the weighted H∞ performance of the switched systems is analyzed. Finally, robust weighted H∞ controller is designed. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the results.

	Abstract:This paper introduces a differential equation with 5 state variables to describe the anti-hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection therapy dynamics which clears chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients' HBV without damaging patients' hepatocytes. This equation has two equilibrium points Q1 and Q2, representing infection free state and persistent infection state, respectively. This paper proves that if the basic virus reproductive number R0 of our model is less than 1, then the infection free equilibrium point Q1 is globally attractive. This result suggests that if an anti-virus infection therapy makes an infected patient's R0 < 1, then the patient will eventually recover even if infected with a large amount of virus. As an~application, we use this model to simulate the dynamics of a CHB patient's anti-HBV infection combination therapy with traditional Chinese herbal medicine (TCM), TCM plus adefovir (AD), and TCM plus entecavir (EN). Our numerical simulation results described well the patient's HBV DNA and ALT levels. Further numerical simulation showed that only for a treatment period of about 4 years will all infected hepatocytes be replaced by normal ones.

	9. Frequency Domain MIMO Identification for Modeling of Structural Dynamics

	Abstract:Frequency domain system identification is widely used in the area of structural dynamic analysis. However, due to modeling errors, disturbances and measurement noise, the identified model may be unstable. In this paper, we propose two algorithms to identify structural dynamics with prior knowledge of stable poles. The first algorithm is based on subspace identification, and the second algorithm is based on maximum likelihood in the frequency domain. The corn difference with previous methods in that the new algorithms consider the poles constraint. We show the benefits of the proposed approaches in a simple example where the results of the first algorithm are used as an initial estimate for the second algorithm.

	Abstract:The eco-industrial system, blending together with environment, is an open dynamic complex system. Many investigations have been conducted from perspectives of complex systems theories during past years. However, since the poor understanding on the essence of complex systems, available theories have made little breakthrough in well essentially explaining the characteristics and the process of generation or evolution of eco-industrial system. In this paper, basing on a proposal for new informational reality in world, eco-industrial system, along with anything in the world, is treated not as a "hard system" preexisted somewhere, but a "soft system" resulted from an informational process. In other word, eco-industrial system is generated and evolved as a living body during the process of maximizing the generalized information entropy. In this way, the essence of a complex eco-industrial system has been revealed. The dynamic equation that controls the generation and evolution of an eco-industrial system can accordingly be acquired and resolved, from which the underlying dynamics and fractal features can be deduced. Thus, a complete new framework for eco-industrial system can be built. At last, Lubei eco-industrial system is utilized as a typical case to show that this new framework or model is capable of giving renewed mechanistic understanding on our universal nature including eco-industrial system. In addition, it is also hopeful in better explaining or adjusting our real world, such as agent interactions, the fractal phenomena and evolution property, actual design of many specific eco-industrial systems.
