Abstract:In wireless ad hoc network many papers have been proposed on the routing protocols implementation, analysis, performance study and improvement. Simulations are always done with identical nodes assumption that’s means nodes homogeneity, all of the nodes have the same characteristics but reality is so different. With the multiplicity of the wireless devices sometimes it is possible nodes can be different by some parameters like coverage range, antenna high, energy, speed and so on... Because of many kinds of devices are available and for the extensibility of wireless ad hoc network, it is time to begin to think out, to introduce and to take this constraint account in the current routing protocols. So for showing heterogeneity constraint in these routing protocols, we will propose to study the behaviors, the limit performance of the Ad hoc On Demand Distance Vector protocol (AODV) which is one of the IETF approved protocols.

Abstract:802.16e is the evolving protocol providing high mobility and high data transmission. However, this also brings rigorous requirement for receiver design. To solve the I/Q mismatch issue in the 802.16e receiver, an efficient I/Q mismatch compensation scheme is proposed. This scheme is of low complexity, and compared to the other schemes it can compensate the mismatch in a short period without any pre-knowledge of the transmitted signals. The good performance and fast convergence of this scheme will make it helpful to implement a low-cost receiver in 802.16e.

Abstract:IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is a new network architecture for providing multimedia service in the next generation networks. The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) R5 standards specified the use of Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) for the IMS. However, early implementations of IMS Core and IMS clients support Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4)-only. As the transition and migration to IPv6 of both the IMS Core and IMS clients, the interoperability between IPv4 and IPv6 in the Core region and clients region must be addressed. These issues have the potential to impact the access-independent nature of IMS specified by 3GPP. In this paper, we introduce a middleware which is similar to traditional Session Border Controller(SBC) between Core and clients, which can handle the inter-working well. And we introduce an Interconnect-SBC (I-SBC)-like middleware which can deal with the cross-IMS Cores communications. In addition, it also can provide other novel features such as ANAT, IPv6 promotion and make the implementation of User equipment mobility relatively easy.

Abstract:Based on coupled mode theory of the irregular coaxial waveguide with smoothly varying profile, the mode selectivity of a coaxial Bragg reflector with inner and outer conducting wall sinusoidally corrugated is investigated. Numerical analysis is carried out under various corrugation parameters, and the results indicate that good mode selectivity can be achieved when the outer wall and inner rod of the reflector are corrugated with a same ripple period and proper amplitude. Comparative study shows that if the outer wall and inner rod have different corrugation periods, the mode selectivity of the coaxial Bragg reflector may be deteriorated.

Abstract:Future wireless networks must be able to coordinate services within a diverse network environment. One of the most challenging problems for coordination is vertical handoff, which is the decision for a mobile node to handoff between different types of networks. Existing researches are mainly based on received signal strength, monetary cost, offered services, network conditions, and user preferences, thus complicate the decision process. In this paper, several parameters are incorporated into vertical handoff decision algorithms, together with delay bound as elimination factor with the goal of maximizing the quality of service experienced by each user while reducing the decision overhead. First, the concept of vertical handoff is discussed. Then, a cost function is defined to judge target networks using fuzzy logic and a variety of user- and network-valued metrics. Finally, a performance analysis demonstrates that significant gains in quality of service and a more efficient use of resources can be achieved from the proposed optimizations.

Abstract:Signaling pathway analysis and interpretation of the massive gene expression data is a challenging task. Clustering technology is one of the useful and popular methods to obtain these patterns inherent in the data. In order to find the best way to establish theoretical p38 MAPK signaling pathway based on Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma expression profiles, we use and compare common hierarchical clustering algorithms, such as Pearson’s correlation, Euclidean distance, Euclidean distance harmonic, spearman rank correlation, kendall’s tau, City-block distance etc, The algorithm constructs a hierarchy from top to bottom based on a self-organizing tree. It dynamically finds the number of clusters at each level. We find that,Spearman rank correlation, kendall’s tau, City-block distance, and Euclidean Distance are all fit to the analysis of the cascade composed from a MAP3K11(MLK3), a MAP2K3(MKK3), a MAPK11(P38 MAPK/β) toMEF2A in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma expression profiles. The result is consistent with the biological experimental p38 MAPK signaling pathway.

Abstract:Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) architecture is one of the most promising techniques to improve the quality and capacity of future wireless communication systems. In this work, we introduced adaptive frequency fractionally-spaced equalization into MIMO system. The proposed scheme can improve the BER performance of the system by oversampling and reduce the computation complexity used for channel estimation.

Abstract:The paper focuses on the analysis of the stability of symmetric and asymmetric passive gaits using a simple nonlinear biped model based on the anti-phase synchronization control strategy and also continues the investigation into the control of the compass gait biped. A new impulsive control method for chaos suppression of this transformed two periodically forced pendulum system has been developed as well as the establishment of some applicable criteria of eventually exponentially stability. The analysis of the stability of the closed-loop system with different control parameters is completed. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the control strategy and the research results can be applied to the biped robot control theory based on the cyclical and systemic stability control strategy development

Abstract:DFT-Spread OFDM (DFT-S OFDM), known as frequency-domain generation of the single-carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA), is an uplink transmission scheme of Evolved UTRA LTE. Our research mainly discusses the channel estimation of the DFT-Spread OFDM system based on different design of pilot signals, including FDM(Frequency Division Multiplexing) and CDM(Code Division Multiplexing) pilot multiplexing. Since the FDM method has been discussed elaborately in several contributions already and fully accepted, this paper focuses on the design of pilot employing CDM and corresponding channel estimation method.

Abstract:A new backoff algorithm is proposed to enhance the performance of the IEEE 802.11 Distributed Coordination Function (DCF) which used to employ Binary Exponential Backoff (BEB) algorithm. The drastic change of Contention Window (CW) of BEB results in poor performances of fairness and delay jitter. To solve these problems, a novel algorithm called Adaptive Increment Adaptive Decrement (AIAD) is proposed, which adjusts the CW based on historical collision number. In AIAD, the adjustment of CW can properly reflect the state of medium contention, which results in improvements of fairness and delay jitter. Another backoff algorithm called Multiple Increase Linear Decrease (MILD) is considered for performance comparison. The simulation results show that AIAD outperforms BEB and MILD in general performance.
