Abstract:When it comes to the design of digital intermediate-frequency (IF) receiver, how to select an optimum high-speed analog to digital converter (ADC) is a key point. This paper presents an effective method in the selection of ADC and the main consideration is signal to noise ratio (SNR), which contains the influence of peak-to-average Ratio (PAPR). A helpful formula is derived that can combine the power of input signal with ADC's quantitative peak. This paper provides calculation model for OFDM and analysis of simulation result using MATLAB. It turned out that the practical ADC's resolution bits should be left three digits allowances. In addition, the noise figure (NF) of ADC is discussed in digital IF receiver and RF directly-sampling digital receiver. | |||

Abstract:Considering the statistical properties of Rayleigh fading channels, this paper tries to gain the average interference power (AIP) constraint for Primary User (PU) in CR MIMO system and studies the optimal transmit strategy for a Cognitive Radio(CR)link to maximize the ergodic capacity subject to the AIP constraint and CR transmit power constraint. Then we compare it with the counterpart subject to the peak interference power (PIP) constraint for PU and the same CR transmit power constraint. Simulation results show that the former can not only reduce the algorithm complexity but also improve the CR ergodic capacity. | |||

Abstract:VSAT is a new satellite communication system from 1980s. This system is flexible, reliable and convenient. Because of great advantages, VSAT develops rapidly during these years. However, this system can only transmit low bit-rate information, the top limit is 19.2kbit/s. With the rapid development of modern society, VSAT can no longer meet our needs. DVB is the second generation of VSAT, it can support broadband transmission. In this paper, an advanced DVB satellite communication system will be introduced, This DVB-RCS system has been deployed widely all over the world. First of all, a brief introduction on DVB-RCS will be given. At the second place, this system will be described in detail. Furthermore, the principle of DVB-RCS will be analyzed. Abstract:A full QoS scheduler (FQS) is proposed for multi-rate WiMAX system. Unlike existing algorithms which using multi-state Markov channel model, FQS considers both packet delay and packet error rate. FQS prefers flows destined to high capacity and low error rate channel and flows with large lagging. Simulation results demonstrate that FQS provides higher throughput and lower delay than existing algorithms. | |||

Abstract:In this paper, a novel network listen (NWL) system based on PC202 is proposed for TD-SCDMA femtocell. Femtocell is a low-cost, low-power base station for improving indoor coverage, which should be deployed without much consideration to cell planning because of its auto-configuration. We propose the hardware and software architectures of the NWL system. Controlled by a user application, the system can scan the air interface, detects neighboring cells for available resources and configure the femtocell without the management of the network provider. According to the test results, they can meet the requirements of TD-SCDMA standard. | |||

Abstract:As an important step in the evolution of TD-SCDMA system, TD-HSDPA system offers higher data rate and network capacity. TD-SCDMA network is now under deployment in China. And TD-HSDPA will also start to be deployed in the near future. Research on the co-existence between these two above mentioned systems is very important to the deployment of TD-SCDMA network and TD-HSDPA network. But related research is quite limited. In this paper, the system performance of TD-SCDMA system and TD-HSDPA system is studied when they are co-existing. Some important simulation assumptions, including the deployment scenario, the propagation models and the interference models are described in this paper. Besides, impact on system capacity due to the co-existed systems is investigated. And finally, some advises on the deployment of TD-HSDPA and TD-SCDMA systems are given. | |||

Abstract:This paper considers the optimal resource allocation for MIMO-OFDM systems in multi-user downlink scenario. By using zero-forcing based SDMA scheme, the multi-user MIMO channels are converted to several SISO channels, which facilitate the proposed bit loading algorithm with the objective of minimizing the system bit error rate (BER). We provide the general mathematical formulation of the optimization problem which includes multi-user interference cancellation, multi-user diversity, bits and power allocation. We consider only the case that the total power and rate are defined by a system. Thus, our proposed algorithm can be expressed through a closed form equation, and it has very low complexity comparing with the iterative ones. | |||

Abstract:This paper presents an overview of the most widely used communications network-Global System of Mobile Communications (GSM) and investigates the current situation of the security feature. In the paper, we analyze the security structure and mechanisms in three aspects, then several attacks against the protocol including Denial of Service (DOS) attack and Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attack are described. Last part of the paper focuses on countermeasures. Pre-authentication procedure and mutual authentication are considered to be effective ways to mitigate these threats. | |||
