Abstract:The paper presents a adaptive neural networks control scheme without system observers for a class of SISO stochastic nonlinear switched systems with time-varying delay. In the scheme, only a single hidden layer feedforward network (SLFN) is employed to compensate for all known system nonlinear terms depending on the delayed output. The output weights are updated based on the Lyapunov synthesis approach and backstepping technique to guarantee the stability of the overall system. Then a special switching law are given based on attenuation speed of each subsystem. Different from the existing techniques, the parameters of the SLFN are adjusted based on a new neural networks learning algorithm named as extreme learning machine (ELM), where all the hidden node parameters randomly be generated. Finally, the proposed AANC scheme is applied to an example and the simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the control schem.

Abstract:This paper is devoted to robust stabilization problem for a class of uncertain switched nonlinear systems with lower triangular structure. A new systematic recursive algorithm for designing a common stabilizing controller is proposed based on backstepping method. It is demonstrated theoretically the constructed controller can guarantee the resulting closed-loop switched system to be robust globally asymptotically stable at the equilibrium for any switching signal. Moreover, an illustrative example is given to show the effectiveness of the given recursive approach.

Abstract:In this paper a new DE algorithm, i.e. self-adaptive co-evolution differential evolution (SACDE), is proposed to improve the optimization performance. SACDE employs the idea of co-evolution, which means that population and control parameters are coded together. While individuals are evolving, control parameters are changing in coordinately. The automatically updated parameters can adapt to different optimization problem and thus increase the robustness of the algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is better than classic DE algorithm. In comparison with other self-adaptive DE algorithm, the proposed algorithm is better in some conditions. Finally, the proposed algorithm is employed to optimize a discrete complex constrained optimization problem-water distribution network problem. SACDE achieves better results in benchmark water distribution network problems than previous methods. It demonstrates that SACDE not only can handle discrete constrained optimization problem but also shows its robustness due to the exponentially increasing complexity of different water distribution networks.

Abstract:A novel integrated learning control system is presented in this paper. It systematically integrates discrete-time (batch-axis) information and continuous-time (time-axis) information into one uniform frame. More specifically, the iterative learning controller is designed in the domain of batch-axis, while an adaptive single neuron predictive controller (SNPC) in the domain of time-axis. As a result, the batch process can be regulated during one batch, which leads to superior tracking performance and better robustness against disturbance and uncertainty. Moreover, the convergence and tracking performance of the proposed integrated learning control system are firstly given rigorous description and proof. Lastly, to verify the effectiveness of the proposed integrated control system, it is applied to a benchmark batch process, in comparison with ILC recently developed.

Abstract:Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) is becoming one of the main driving forces in today's wireless communications industry.OFDM has high spectrum utilization, its flexibly selecting frequency provides a good platform for a high data rate transmission. In this paper we study the performance of multi-cell and multi-userOFDM-TDMA (time division multiple access) system.Ressource allocation algorithm is applied to the system to maximize the system throughput, to mitigate the effect of CCI(co-channel interference) and to satisfy the required quality of service. The simulation results show that the algorithm is more efficient than the equal ressource allocation algorithm .

Abstract:Multi-model predictive control is an important method for the control problem of a nonlinear system. Due to noise and measurement error and other factors, the data collected from industrial field tend to have large uncertainty. Traditional methods for deterministic data can no longer meet the real needs, system modeling method directly to uncertain data is necessary. Because of cloud model has a strong ability to deal with uncertainty, we identify multi-model system based on an improved cloud c-means clustering algorithm which take an adaptive strategy to determine the optimal number of clusters and redefine the calculation method of membership. In addition, for the selection problem of model matching criterion in multi-model controller design. We establish cloud model for each mode, and then a cloud weighted method for multi-model controller is proposed based on membership match criterion, which the membership of current system state belongs to each mode is used to calculate the weight. The validity and availability of the proposed method are supported by simulation results.

Abstract:The robust H∞ control problem was considered for a class of fuzzy hyperbolic model with time-varying delays (DFHM) systems with parametric uncertainties. First, DFHM modeling method was presented for time-delay nonlinear systems. Then, by using Lyapunov-Krasovskii approaches, delay-dependent sufficient condition for the existence of a kind of state feedback controller was proposed, which was expressed as linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The controller can guarantee that the resulting closed-loop system is robustly asymptotically stable with a prescribed H∞ performance level for all admissible uncertainties and time-delay. Finally, a simulation example was provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Abstract:In this paper, a disjunctive arc based genetic algorithm (DAGA) is proposed to solve the resource-constrained project scheduling problem (RCPSP). The arc matrixes (AMs) representation is proposed for disjunctive arc based approach. The disjunctive arc based schedule generating scheme (DASGS) is developed to solve the resource constraints by adding extra precedence constraints into the AoN network so as to transform an AMs to a feasible schedule. Since the traditional crossover and mutation can not be operated on the AMs representation, the new crossover and mutation based on the AMs are also proposed for the DAGA. Simulation results based on PSPLIB demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed DAGA.
