Abstract:Wechat is a new kind of mobile instant messaging system over the internet. It has huge market potential and broad prospects and also can be applied to language teaching and learning in colleges. Wechat has some notable advantages as a modern teaching technology. This paper illustrates the functions of smartphone-based teaching using the theory of constructivism, and puts forward a new learning strategy to replace traditional cram-teaching methods.
