Abstract:This paper proposes a design scheme of mobile video surveillance system based on wireless LAN (WLAN), the overall system architecture and key technologies introduced. The operating principle, process and realization of several modules are described in detail, such as video capturing, video reproducing, video wireless transmitting, video playing on the mobile terminals PDA, etc. IP multicast and MPEG-4 codec techniques are used too, so the system can realize real-time video transmission in the way of from one point to many.

Abstract: High quality mobile services have to eliminate multiple-access interference (MAI) and multipath inference that affect CDMA systems receivers. To this purpose, MMSE space-time multiuser detection has been proposed [1]. However, they usually need more complexity computation in receivers. Therefore, in such case, a low-complexity MMSE detector is required. In this paper, we adopt the Lagrange multipliers method and extend the constraint space, and present an adaptive MMSE space-time multiuser detector. Simulation results show that the scheme can offer significant performance enhancement over the conventional MMSE detection method.

Abstract:The technology of Multiple Input and Multiple Output (MIMO) is a breakthrough in the field of mobile communication. In this paper, we address the problem of MIMO time-variant channel estimation and propose a method based on the first-order statistics of received measurements. In the proposed method, periodic sequences with different periods are superimposed on the information-bearing symbols corresponding to different transmit antennas. And in this way, coefficients of different sub-channels can be separated for estimation. Simulations are given to verify effectiveness of the method. Besides, as an attempt to solve the problem of high peak-to-average symbol power ratio due to the superimposed sequences, a thorough analysis is given and optimal sequence in the sense of minimizing peak-to-average symbol power ration is designed.

Abstract:This paper investigates some key issues on designing the edge router in optical burst switching (OBS) networks, such as burst assembly, burst scheduling and burst transceiver, and then presents a rack-mounted prototype based on current technology level. Experimental results verify various functions in the demonstrated edge router.

Abstract:A multi-step quantum secure direct communication protocol using blocks of multi-particle maximally entangled state is proposed. In this protocol, the particles in a Green-Horne-Zeilinger state are sent from Alice to Bob in batches in several steps. It has the advantage of high efficiency, and high source capacity.

Abstract:he next generation networks will be an all IPv6 based network and composed of diverse wired and wireless radio access technologies. The signals received by mobile terminals may come from different networks. How to select the best network suitable to current traffic is the key issue of guaranteeing the service of quality in heterogeneous networks. The traditional single-hop access method used in 3G/2.5G cellular network will inevitably cause the base station as a communication bottleneck. MANET utilizes the dynamic multi-hop routing method. Mobile nodes in ad hoc network are also as routers, which increase the power consuming of mobile nodes. An adaptive multi-hop access routing protocol is newly presented in this paper. It combines the single hop character used in conversional cellular networks with the self-organization in ad hoc networks. When quality of service of the network access points cannot satisfy the service demands, the mobile terminals can transfer packets with the hel
