Abstract:Aimed at the safety problem of digital image transmission, a new image scrambling algorithm based on changing the pixel values was presented in this paper. The algorithm improves the "Vigenere encryption" algorithm, made it suitable in the digital image encryption. Experiment results show that, this algorithm brings the conception of "keyword" which is important in the cryptography in the digital image encryption algorithm. To a certain degree, it enhanced the security of scrambling image, compared with the algorithm which is based on changing the pixels position. This method not only provides with a better scrambling effect, but also changes the gray histogram of scrambling image obviously. Besides, this method has a better ability of resist noise compared with the "Bit-exclusive-or" algorithm -the traditional image scrambling algorithm based on changing the single pixel values.

Abstract:Extracting the license plate region is the critical first step in the license plate recognition system. This paper adopts grey level stretch and image enhancement to get better images. For locating the license plate in night scene, this paper proposes a lights searching method base on projection algorithm. Through rough location module, stretch location module, analysis module and three-level scoring system, the license plate will be extracted finally.

Abstract:In order to perform successful diagnosis and treatment of cancer, discovering and classifying cancer types correctly is essential. Most of the existing worksadopt single clustering algorithms to perform class discovery frombio-molecular data. Unfortunately, single clustering algorithms havelimitations, which are lack of the robustness, stableness andaccuracy. In this paper, we develop a new probabilistic subspaceensemble framework known as PSEFminer for cancer microarray dataanalysis. PSEFminer integrates the probabilistic subspace generator, the self-organizing map(SOM) and the normalized cut algorithm intothe ensemble framework to discover the underlying structure fromcancer microarray data. The experiments in cancer datasets show that($i$) the probabilistic subspace generator plays an important roleto improve the performance of PSEFminer; ($ii$) PSEFmineroutperforms most of the state-of-the-art cluster ensemble algorithmswhen applied to cancer gene expression data.

Abstract:SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is an application-layer control (signaling) protocol for creating, modifying, and terminating sessions with one or more participants. SIP-based applications are emerging everyday, including IP phone calls, multimedia conferences, etc. Instant messaging tools based on SIP are also developed, providing PC and mobile users excellent experience of a combination of text, audio, and video data. Behind RFC 3261, a number of extension protocols are developed to further enhance the usability of SIP. This paper examines a SIP extension -- the PUBLISH method (defined in RFC 3903) that used for event state publication, and gives an use case as a way of IM client state notification.

Show/Hide Abstract | Cite this paper︱Full-text: PDF (0 B)
Abstract:Hierarchical approaches are employed in current floorplanning algorithms for scaling to large number modules. With the development of VLSI technology, the thermal problem has been emerged as one of the key issues for IC design. In this paper, we propose a novel power density clustering method to guide the optimization of floorplanning, which aims to efficiently reduce the hotspots while optimizing design metrics such as area and total wirelength. The experimental results with GSRC benchmarks show that the thermal effect is well controlled so that the temperature of ”hot spots” has decreased on the chip. Our algorithm is compared with the state-of-the-art thermal-aware floorplanning algorithm Hotspot Floorplan, it can reduce the max temperature by 3% while saving time by about 300%.

Abstract:A novel adaptive watermarking algorithm based on multi-scale morphological gradient and fussy theory in wavelet domain is proposed in this paper. Using multi-scale morphological gradient, analyze the distribution and the strength of the sub-block texture after the wavelet package decomposition, and sort the sub-blocks by textures. According to the texture and energy feature of the sub-block, the sub-block thresholds are determined adaptively, and the coefficients are classified by fuzzy theory. Then, based on the classified result, the strength of the position is modulated adaptively through Noise Visibility Function (NVF), which is the best strength to ensure good visual effect of masking to achieve the best balance between robustness and imperceptibility. A large amount of experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is effective and robust to be resistant to common image processing operations.

Abstract:An adaptive watermarking algorithm in the wavelet domain based on multi-scale morphological gradient is proposed in this paper. Using multi-scale morphological gradient, the distribution and the strength of the sub-block texture after the wavelet package decomposition are analyzed, and the textures of sub-blocks are sorted. According to the texture feature of the sub-block, the sub-block threshold is determined adaptively and the position which is bigger than its threshold is selected as the important coefficient position where the watermarking is embedded. Then, the strength of the position is modulated adaptively through Noise Visibility Function (NVF), which is the best strength to ensure good visual effect of masking to achieve the best effect between robustness and imperceptibility. Show/Hide Abstract | Cite this paper︱Full-text: PDF (0 B)
Abstract:Domestic video clips usually contain Chinese captions. The captions include rich semantic information and they are valuable descriptions of the video content. Extracting the high-level semantic of caption can help people to understand the content of the video easily and it also can make the video retrieval more efficiently. In this paper, an approach, which is based on semantic correlation between sentences in a caption text, is proposed to generate the summarization of the caption. Firstly we get the caption text of the video and segment the caption text into words and sentences to complete information segmentation. Secondly using the clustering algorithm, sentences are clustered to implement information combination. Finally representative sentences are extracted from each class to generate the summarization of caption, which can be considered to be video summarization Experimental results indicate that the method is feasible and useful.

Abstract:In this paper we describe a neural network model-adaptive singular value extraction(ASVE) for multiple singular values extraction based on an extension of the Hebbian learning rule, and then apply it to image compression. The ASVE-based image compression scheme is based on the APEX–like algorithm proposed by Diamantaras. It is shown experimentally that the proposed scheme leads to good compression ratio and satisfactory image quality.
