Abstract:With trajectory surface-hopping dynamics at the semi-empirical OM2/MRCIlevel, photoisomerization dynamics of a light-driven molecular rotary motor is investigated in gas phase. A meanlifetime of the S$_{1}$ excited state for the M structure (see Figure 1 in the text) is about 580 fs in gas phase. The dynamical process of electronic de-excitation is followed by the twisting about the centralC=C double bond and the out of plane motion of pyramidalization. Two S$_{1}$/S$_{0}$ conical intersections (CI) are found, and de-excitation from the S$_{1}$ excited state occurs at these two CI. Since the difference betweenthe energy barriers on these two routines, the de-excitation mainly occurs at one CI named as CI$_{1}$.The quantum yield of the M-P photoisomerization of this molecular motor is about 63.6% in our calculation.Although the averaged lifetime of the M structure was close to 600 fs, our calculated fluorescence emission spectrum shown that the fluorescence emission nearly disappeared after 100 fs, which means that most of molecules arrived at ``dark state" after 100 fs. Our calculatation result about fluorescence emission spectrum agrees well with the experimental result of Feringa et al.

Abstract:We propose two hyperentanglement concentration protocols for two photons entangled states in the polarization and orbital angular momentum degrees of freedom. The two cases distilling a maximally hyperentangled state from less-entangled pure state with unknown parameters and known parameters are dissected respectively. Both of the schemes require only simple optical devices which makes our scheme more feasible with current technology and can be exploited to hyperentangled GHZ state and quantum repeaters of quantum network simply. We also discuss the success efficiency of our schemes in the paper. Both of them has a maximum success probability in corresponding situation.

Abstract:In this paper we study the collective excitations of the Bardeen-Cooper-Shieffer (BCS) superfluids. Our starting point is a gauge invariant electric-magnetic (EM) linear response theory formulated by Shrieffer, with a special interaction vertex introduced. We analyzed the collective excitations at zero temperature, it can be found that it reduces to the sound speed in certain limit.

Abstract:In this paper a vector representation $V(u)$ of Elliptic Ding-Iohara algebra $mathcal{U}(q,t,p)$ is defined. Furthermore tensor products of the vector representations is constructed and the Fock modules $mathcal{F}(u)$ is constructed by taking the inductive limit of certain subspaces in the finite tensor products of vector representations. The actions of $mathcal{U}(q,t,p)$ on the basis labeled by partitions and plane partitions are also given.

Abstract:In this work, the performed dynamical study of the $B^{(*)}$ and $ar{K}$ interaction shows that the newly observed $X(5568)$ or$X(5616)$ cannot be assigned to be an isovector $Bar{K}$ or $B^*ar{K}$ molecular state. We continue to investigate the isoscalar $B^{(*)}ar{K}$ systems, and the $B^{(*)}ar{K}^{*}$ systems with isospin $I=0,1$, andpredict the existences of several isoscalar $B^{(*)}ar K^{(*)}$ molecular states. A new taskof exploring open-bottom molecular states will be created for future experiment.

Abstract:The availability of big data recorded from massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) allow us to gain a deeper understanding the potential connection between avatar's network positidon and their economic production. We use a statistical filtering method to construct dependence networks from weighted friendship networks of avatars. We identify 30 distinct motif positions in the 13 directed triadic motifs which represent microscopic dependence among avatars. Based on structural similarity of motif positions, we further classify avatars into different groups. The node position diversity of avatars is found to be positively correlated with their economic production. We also find that the economic production of leaf nodes are significantly lower than that of the other nodes in the same motif. Our findings shed light on understanding the influence of network structure on economic activities and production in social system.

Abstract:Photocatalytic reforming of formaldehyde for hydrogen production over popcorn-like Cu microcrystals have been investigated and compared under different reaction conditions. In this work, we find that popcorn-like Cu microcrystals can catalyze hydrogen production from formaldehyde solution at various pH values rather than only in alkaline conditions as previously reported in the literature. Furthermore, the visible light irradiation efficiently enhances the hydrogen generation rate. A new plasmonic catalytic mechanism is proposed on the basis of the facts that the popcorn-like Cu microcrystals are photoexcited by the visible light due to plasmon resonance and the unpaired electrons immigrate to the surface of formaldehyde to induce the redox reaction. The alkaline condition is determined to be the appropriate condition for the reaction and the popcorn-like Cu microcrystals are very stable during the catalysis process. This study may provide a new insight that the reforming reaction of formaldehyde for hydrogen production not only occurs in alkaline solutions, but also in neutral and acidic conditions, with light irradiation further improving the efficiency.

Abstract:We present an experimental study of multi-Raman gain resonances in a hot Rubidium vapor. The experiment is performed based on a high-efficiency four-wave mixing process due to Raman-driven coherence in a double-Λ configuration. The Raman gain resonance for Rb atoms under a bias magnetic field is shown to split into five or six peaks, depending on the orientation of the magnetic field. The formed multi-Raman gain resonances have potential applications in measurement of magnetic fields and generation of multi-frequency correlated twin beams.

Abstract:Spin-spin interactions or coupling constants play important roles in molecule structure elucidation. However, measurements of JHH values in complex coupled spin systems remain challenging. In this study, a selective constant-time (SECT) 2D NMR protocol is proposed for revealing scalar-coupling networks and measuring JHH values for intricately scalar-coupled spin systems. All JHH values within a network of n fully coupled protons can be separately revealed within (n-1) SECT experiments. Furthermore, the proposed pulse sequence possesses satisfactory sensitivity and handy implementation. Therefore, it will interest chemists who intend to address structural analyzes of molecules with overcrowded spectra, and may greatly facilitate the applications of scalar-coupling constants in molecule structure studies.

Abstract:The novel Measurement-device-independent quantum key distribution scheme has been proposed to close all the loopholes caused by the imperfect of measurement devices. Collective noise in quantum channel will impact the polarization modes of photons, reducing the communication efficiency and security. We present a fault-tolerant Measurement-device-independent quantum key distribution scheme based on the decoherence-free subspace which will overcome the collective noise. Logistic-state is comprised by two pairs photons in Bell state which can be achieved with parametric-down conversion source and the mutually unbiased bases are completed by the photons order rearrangement technology.
