Abstract:An hepta-band antenna for mobile phones with the size of 80mm×5mm×4mm is proposed and studied. The proposed antenna is composed of a coupled line, a monopole stub and a grounded stub. By using the multi-mode method, the lower band(824-960MHz) and the higher band (1710-2690MHz) are covered. The working mechanism is analysed by dividing the proposed antenna into three parts as reference antenna. The simulated -6dB impedance bandwidths are 150MHz (830-980MHz) and 0.98GHz (1700MHz-2680MHz) at the lower band and higher band, respectively. The proposed antenna is capable of covering the GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS, LTE2300,and LTE2500 bands.

Abstract:To tackle the current issue of spectrum resource scarcity, Device-to-Device (D2D) communication is considered as an important technology for sharing spectrum with cellular users, which enables high-speed and convenient services. In this paper, we consider the spectrum and power allocation problem for D2D communication in underlaying cellular networks. In particularly, we focus on a D2D network, where spectrum resource is shared among all D2D users. Unlike existing works that mainly focus on D2D users sharing spectrum with cellular users, we analyze not only the spectrum resources allocation but also the optimization of the transmission power for each D2D transceiver pair to maximize D2D system capacity maximize. We first formulate the network model and signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) by some stochastic geometry knowledges. In addition, we formulate the spectrum resource allocation and power selection as a mixed integer non-linear programming (MINLP) problem to maximize the system capacity. Inspired by existing intelligent algorithms, we propose a heuristic chaos genetic algorithm associated with four color theorem to solve this problem. In order to prove the feasibility and efficiency of this algorithm, we compare this problem with brute-force search algorithm in simulation results. It shows that the proposed chaos genetic algorithm combine with graph coloring method can approach system capacity optimal but algorithm complexity is greatly reduced. We also verify the system parameter influence of the system capacity in this network.(10 Points, Times New Roman)

Abstract:Accurate electromagnetic (EM) analysis for conductive media requires to consider the finite conductivity of the media. Although the problems can be formulated by surface integral equations (SIEs) with an approximate surface impedance, we treat the conductive media as penetrable objects and use volume integral equations (VIEs) to exactly describe their EM features. The VIEs are solved by a point-matching scheme which does not rely on any basis and testing functions and allows the use of nonconforming meshes. Since the VIEs are well-conditioned in general and the integral kernels are free of material parameters, the scheme is flexible to accommodate a wide range of skin depth. Moreover, when the skin depth is small, we can only discretize the skin domain with a current distribution to reduce the cost. Typical numerical examples are presented to illustrate the scheme and its effectiveness has been validated.

Abstract:An interface charge model for ferroelectric-gate field-effect transistor (FeFET) is developed by combining the basic device equations of metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors with the polarization characteristics of ferroelectric thin films. This model presents the characteristics of FeFET considering interface charge between the ferroelectric thin film and the insulator layer. Simulations demonstrate that the interface charge will cause the surface potential of the semiconductor and the drain current left shift, and the memory windows are narrowed down, which are resulted from the space charge of the surface of the semiconductor. Meanwhile, the value of polarization almost does not change in FeFET. Furthermore, the simulation of FeCMOS inverts indicates that the output voltage will left shift as the interface charge increases.

Abstract:A switched-capacitor programmable gain amplifier (PGA) for high-definition video analog front-ends (AFEs) is presented. The PGA also acts as the sample and holder of the ADC to reduce the power consumption and chip area of the whole AFE. The 9-bit gain and offset control DACs are embedded into the switched capacitor networks of the PGA. Simulated results show that the PGA achieves a gain range of 0.9 to 2.4V/V, and an offset control range of -230 to 230mV while consuming 10.1mA from a 1.8V power supply. An AFE based on the proposed PGA is fabricated in TSMC 0.18um process. Measurement results show that the AFE achieves the capability to process variant HDTV signals up to 1080p YPbPr and computer video signals up to UXGA (1600x1200 @75Hz).

Abstract:In order to improve autonomous underwater vehicle's activity and expand the scope of its navigation, contactless power transmission technology has been widely spread in recent years. The contactless power transmission system is loosely coupled coupler connection, making the transmission efficiency of the system is greatly reduced. In this paper, we use soft-switching circuit to improve the transmission efficiency of system. By investigating the passive lossless snubber circuit with non-minimum voltage stress, this paper designs a novel passive lossless snubber circuit based on Buck converter. The experiment results show that the designed circuit can reduce the switching losses effectively and return the energy stored in the buffering process to power supply.

Abstract:In this paper an overlap double gate structure MOSFET model is researched and compared with split double gate structures in this paper. This structure is emulated by MEDICI software. The simulation results show that the channel surface electric field of the overlap double gate structure is modulated. The short channel effect and hot carrier injection is reduced. Breakdown voltage is increased; meanwhile, the equivalent gate capacitance is dropped. Transconductance could be regulated by gate voltage. Along with the channel shorten, threshold voltage change rate of overlap double gate is smallest than the others.

Abstract:Abstract: A parameter extraction and optimization strategy using PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) algorithm is presented for SOI (Silicon On Insulator) MOSFETs(Metal-Oxide -Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor) based on the BSIM SOI 3.1 model which is developed by the BSIM group of UC Berkeley. The global optimal strategy and standard PSO algorithm are implemented to fulfill the extraction of direct-current parameters, which are related to gate voltage and drain voltage. The values of the optimal parameters, which are got from multiple experiments, are as follows: inertia factor w=0; learning factor c1=c2=2; the initialization of the particle swarm is a random distribution; the value of swarm scale is 30. The algorithm shows a perfect convergence rate and can be used as a possible global extraction method for MOSFETs devices.

Abstract:A compact dual-band planar monopole antenna for WLAN applications is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna embedded a T-shaped slot can cover 2.4/5.2/5.8 GHz WLAN operating bands. By inserting a T-shaped slot, the compact structure can be achieved. The proposed antenna has a size of 15 ×30 mm2. The prototype of the proposed antenna has been constructed and measured. The measured results of the fabricated antenna show that the impedance bandwidths (S11≤-10dB) are 2.16 - 2.58 GHz and 4.5 - 6.5 GHz, which cover all the 2.4/5.2/5.8 GHz WLAN operating bands. And good omni-directional radiation patterns and antenna gains across the two frequency ranges have been obtained. Details of the antenna design and analysis are discussed in this paper.

Abstract:A wide-band circularly ploarized antenna for multi-mode Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) is proposed in this article. By introducing air layer, parasitic patch and stacked structure, the circularly polarized bandwidth is enlarged effectively. In addtion, four feeding method is adopted for suppressing the higher modes and increasing the 3dB axial ratio(AR) bandwidth. A broadband and phase shifter with 0 ,90 ,180 ,270 are analysised and designed. Simulated results show that the -10dB impedance bandwidth is up to 51.6%,which can cover the whole GNSS frequency.
