Abstract:As the dynamic mapping is critical in IP-over-WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) network to ensure the restorability of IP layer, supplying survivability in network is of vital importance for dynamic traffic. However, the survivable mapping problem is complicated and difficulty in dynamic traffic scenario. Several factors can influence the performance of schemes for survivable mapping: The connectivity of topology; Amount of nodes in topology; Computing complexity and scalability of mapping algorithm. In this paper, we study the impact of light-path routing regarding network survivability and preserved capability. In IP-over-WDM network, light-paths are routed on physical topology so that a single fiber cut can cause multiple logical link failures. We propose a real-time survivable mapping algorithm in dynamic traffic scenario. Moreover, a new independent path sets calculation method is presented in order to support the proposed algorithm. At last, simulations are carried out to evaluate the efficiency and scalability of the proposed algorithm in terms of the resource utilization and blocking probability for single link failure. The results of simulations show that the proposed algorithm offers significant improvement of survivability for IP topology.

Abstract:The application of 3G will provide an opportunity for the development of M-Commerce. In this paper, we analyzed the development tendency of M-Commerce and the advantages of 3G, and finding that the launching of mobile internet services will greatly contribute to the development of M-Commerce in China. We also found that M-Commerce would become the development emphases of 3G, basing on the survey of the mobile communication market in China. With the transformation of telecom operators, they will extend to higher value layer and become the leaders in M-Commerce market. The competition of the value-added services market will be more intense, so we also study the challenge that the M-Commerce operators might face in the context of 3G, and giving the suggestion accordingly.

Abstract:VSAT is a new satellite communication system from 1980s. This system is flexible, reliable and convenient. Because of great advantages, VSAT develops rapidly during these years. However, this system can only transmit low bit-rate information, the top limit is 19.2kbit/s. With the rapid development of modern society, VSAT can no longer meet our needs. DVB is the second generation of VSAT, it can support broadband transmission. In this paper, an advanced DVB satellite communication system will be introduced, This DVB-RCS system has been deployed widely all over the world. First of all, a brief introduction on DVB-RCS will be given. At the second place, this system will be described in detail. Furthermore, the principle of DVB-RCS will be analyzed. At last, a conclusion will be given.

Abstract:Commonly, a great deal of alarms sent to the network management platform cannot ahieve the goal to help engineers locate the network faults soon and accurately as may be imagined. Why?Not all alarms indicate the real reason of fault occurred in networks. Take the EPON networks for instance.Failures on devices in the upstream of the tree topology, such as OLT off line, would trigger offline alarms from OLT as well as many alarms from the downstream, such as offline alarms from ONU and swith, which are called the derived alarms of the OLT offline alarm. The derived alarms are redundant and loads the difficulties in fault diagnose. This paper discusses several popular alarm correlation methods at present and applies one method to EPON networks based on the comparison of their features and limitations.

Abstract:With unprecedented increasing demands on bandwidth due to explosive growth of traffic in the Internet, wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) is proved to satisfy this increasing bandwidth demands in the Internet. Multicasting is becoming more and more popular and important in the Internet for applications such as video conferencing, video-on-demand services, HDTV, and so on. WDM technology and multicasting technology make the services to support large bandwidth demands be possible. so it is becoming a research hot point in resent years. This paper will mainly introduce the multicast in optical WDM network at first and then simulate the multicast performance with OWS and OBS technologies. At last, simulation result shows OBS network is better than OWS in terms of NEU, delay and loss rate/blocking under some conditions.

Abstract:Wireless self-organized sensor network is a data-centre network, and data's validity is firstly important. Using source initiated on demand routing technology, the paper presents a novel routing algorithm to fast configuring routing path, which can decrease the delay and increase success rate in data transmitting. All of these will achieve data's validity and efficiently improve the transmitting performance, in which the sensor network's live-cycle increases 12.9%, the number of control packets are decresed 61.1% and the configuring time are decreased 31.8%. Finally, validity and robustness are proved with computer experiments.

Abstract:A full QoS scheduler (FQS) is proposed for multi-rate WiMAX system. Unlike existing algorithms which using multi-state Markov channel model, FQS considers both packet delay and packet error rate. FQS prefers flows destined to high capacity and low error rate channel and flows with large lagging. Simulation results demonstrate that FQS provides higher throughput and lower delay than existing algorithms.

Abstract:Nowdays, the rapid growth on the usage of the p2p applications has promoted the development of Internet, at the same time which led to problems, such as network congestion and network security. this paper aims at the basic peer to peer character of P2P network, each peer is both server and client. ration between upload traffic and download traffic is proposed to identify the p2p service base on the machine learning method. By investigating the ration of five p2p applications, a character set is obtained for identification, In this method there is no need to detect content of packet payload, so it can work efficiently and easy to implement.

Abstract:In this paper, we propose a novel multiuser detection algorithm called Belief propagation derived from the well-known belief propagation. It has an error probability performance that overtakes the sequential cancellation detection algorithm while only polynomial times of basic calculation are needed. As a generalized version of multistage detector, its different view of the problem is more adaptive to performance analysis.

Abstract:In this paper, a novel network listen (NWL) system based on PC202 is proposed for TD-SCDMA femtocell. Femtocell is a low-cost, low-power base station for improving indoor coverage, which should be deployed without much consideration to cell planning because of its auto-configuration. We propose the hardware and software architectures of the NWL system. Controlled by a user application, the system can scan the air interface, detects neighboring cells for available resources and configure the femtocell without the management of the network provider. According to the test results, they can meet the requirements of TD-SCDMA standard.
