Abstract:In this paper, we have proposed a resource allocation algorithm (ATAA) for OFDMA based cellular systems with multiple relays aided. The objective is to enhance the throughput of the cellular systems for multi-users and make efficient use of the resource. An Adaptive Modulation (AM) scheme adapted for the resource allocation algorithm is also proposed. The resource allocation is based on the channel real-time information and Signal-to-Interference and Noise Ratio (SINR) value, and provides high transmission rate for each user to guarantee users’ satisfaction. Simulation results show that our proposed allocation algorithm can fully sustain user’s requirements under reasonable traffic loads and ensure the cellular systems’ throughput.

Abstract:In this paper, a novel two-stage network selection scheme based on user classification is proposed. The network-decided architectural framework which the scheme can apply to is first introduced. Parameters used to select network are divided into user-type and service-type parameters. Correspondingly, network selection process is done in two stages: user-stage selection and service-stage selection. In the former stage, user classification is introduced into network selection and prioritized network list (PNL) is allocated to each user grade to decrease the number of candidate networks for the next stage. In the second stage, target network is selected for the user based on service-type parameters from the corresponding PNL. Distinctions between initial and handoff network selection are taken into consideration to adjust the selection results. The proposed scheme can reduce the calculation complexity and handoff probability. As indicated from simulation results, the proposed scheme is feasible and user-centric, which can fully satisfy user’s demand.

Abstract:Channel estimation is crucial for orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) systems. In this paper, a low-complexity training-based channel estimation method is proposed. By carefully designing the training sequence, no complex multiplications are needed at the receiver. The computational complexity of the proposed scheme is much lower than that of the maximum likelihood (ML) estimation. However, the complexity is reduced at the expense of performance loss. To find the trade-off between complexity and performance, we then modify the original proposed scheme. The simulation results show that, compared with the ML estimation, the proposed scheme can significantly reduce the complexity with only slight performance losses.

Abstract:Nowdays, the rapid growth on the usage of the p2p applications has promoted the development of Internet, at the same time which led to problems, such as network congestion and network security. this paper aims at the basic peer to peer character of P2P network, each peer is both server and client. ration between upload traffic and download traffic is proposed to identify the p2p service base on the machine learning method. By investigating the ration of five p2p applications, a character set is obtained for identification, In this method there is no need to detect content of packet payload, so it can work efficiently and easy to implement.

Abstract:In downlink CoMP transmission, we consider a UE-centric scheme called SHO (Soft Handover) grouping algorithm, which is basically different from recent cell-centric scheme. It could afford more freedom in UEs and cells grouping for collaboration, and provide significant performance gains. Simulation results are provided to show the considerable gains of the proposed algorithm, which have been scaled to compare with single-cell mode.

Abstract:The development gateway of a country would be the well-developed infrastructure specially the telecommunication. The telecommunication would be the foundation for the development of the information technology. Mongolia is catching up with the latest development of the telecommunication and information technologies. Recently, Ulaanbaatar capital and some capitals of province have been connected with a high-speed fiber optic cable network. Twenty-one provinces and their 330 sums (the second level of administrative subdivision in a province) have been covered with nation wide mobile network provided by the national carriers, i.e. MobiCom, Skytel and Unitel, G-mobile. The next generations of mobile services 3.5G or WCDMA, will be introduced to Mongolian market and it will allow the high-speed data and media transmission. Goal of the project is to use main mobile services, Internet connection and SMS, to build a cost effective and reliable network for Gasoline Company and its Gas stations. The project design is based on CDMA 2000 1x mobile network of the Mongolian main mobile service provider, Skytel Company.

Abstract:In this paper, we propose a novel multiuser detection algorithm called Belief propagation derived from the well-known belief propagation. It has an error probability performance that overtakes the sequential cancellation detection algorithm while only polynomial times of basic calculation are needed. As a generalized version of multistage detector, its different view of the problem is more adaptive to performance analysis.

Abstract:An ad hoc network is composed of a group of mobile and wireless nodes whose power provided by batteries. Energy saving is a crucial problem in ad hoc networks. Various energy saving schemes are required to lengthen the network’s lifetime. A novel energy-saving scheme for ad hoc networks is proposed in this paper, which limited the broadcasting range of the route discovery information through forwarding decision based on distance. Extensive simulation has been done to compare the performances between the proposed scheme and the traditional AODV protocol. The simulation results show that the novel scheme could save more energy.

9. A Resource Scheduling Algorithm Based on User Grouping for LTE-Advanced System with Carrier Aggregation

Abstract:This paper focuses on the resource scheduling of LTE-Advanced system with carrier aggregation. With different fading characters, the aggregated carriers have different coverage between each other. Consequently, the carrier aggregation leads to the fact that the number of carriers which users can be scheduled on is various. The allocation fairness can not be achieved with the original proportional fair (PF) scheduling algorithm, since the PF assumes that all users can be scheduled on the entire spectrum resources. Thus, a PF scheduling algorithm based on user grouping (UG-PF) is proposed. The users are partitioned into some specific groups according to the number of carriers that they can be scheduled on. Furthermore, a modified scheduling policy is obtained based on the average channel access probability of different user groups. Simulation results demonstrate that the UG-PF algorithm can accomplish better fairness among users with a little throughput degradation compared with the original PF algorithm.

Abstract:In this paper, a novel network listen (NWL) system based on PC202 is proposed for TD-SCDMA femtocell. Femtocell is a low-cost, low-power base station for improving indoor coverage, which should be deployed without much consideration to cell planning because of its auto-configuration. We propose the hardware and software architectures of the NWL system. Controlled by a user application, the system can scan the air interface, detects neighboring cells for available resources and configure the femtocell without the management of the network provider. According to the test results, they can meet the requirements of TD-SCDMA standard.
