Abstract:Providing physical-layer security for future wireless networks isof both theoretical and practical importance. In this paper, we consider OFDMAnetworks which can fully guarantee the confidential message transmissionof each user.We present a malicious and active eavesdropper, which is registeredin the OFDMA network and reports a false channel state information (CSI)to the base station (BS) in order to obtain chance of eavesdrop. The detriment to the system security caused by the false CSI attack is evaluated. To combat the attack of the malicious user, two defence schemes at the BSare proposed and their efficiency is analyzed, which are CSI compensation andartificial noise.%Numerical studies are conducted to show the performance of the two defenceschemes, which are shown to effectively reduce the eavesdrop probability andsecrecy loss.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with the optimal power allocation strategy in cognitive radio systems for a cognitive radio (CR) link under spectrum sharing with an existing primary radio (PR) link. The PR is equipped with multi antennas and the CR is in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) based multiple input multiple output (MIMO) cognitive radio systems. It is assumed that in channel learning scheme, CR transmitter first listens to PR transmission and then estimates the spaces that are orthogonal to the channels from PR. Unlike prior study on channel learning in MIMO based cognitive radio systems, this paper is first to bring the OFDM technology to MIMO based cognitive radio systems and consider the imperfect channel learning. Owning to the channel estimation errors, the interference from CR transmitter to PR terminals cannot be canceled completely. Moreover, an effective algorithm is proposed, and we get the optimal power allocation to maximize CR throughput in precondition of assuring PR QoS. Simulation results show the relations among the CR transmit power constraint, the interference power constraint at PR and CR throughput.

Abstract:As we know, hard handover scheme is adopted for LTE systems in recent years. In order to improve the performance of the overall system, L3-filter, hysteresis, and time-to-trigger window are investigated. In this paper, we propose a new mechanism with an adaptive time to trigger window mechanism to overcome the ping-pong effects and improve the capacity of the whole system. In our simulation, the new mechanism shows less number of handovers, and reduces the number of ping-pong handovers to some extent. To decrease the complexity, our main subject is intra-frequency handover.

Abstract:Several parallel scheduling schemes based on Round Robin (RR) are introduced in the distributed antenna system (DAS) to exploit multi-user multiplexing and the multi-user diversity. Firstly, Parallel Round Robin (PRR) scheduling scheme is presented in spatial domain to achieve multi-user multiplexing gain, which can improve the system throughput and inherit the excellent fairness performance of RR. Then a parallel grouping Round Robin (PGRR) is proposed to exploit multi-user diversity based on PRR with partial channel state information (CSI) available at the base station (BS). Due to multi-user diversity and multi-user multiplexing, a great improvement of average throughput is achieved in PGRR. Finally, an enhanced PGRR (EPGRR) is employed to improve fairness performance of PGRR further. Simulations verify analysis conclusions and show that tradeoffs between the throughput and fairness can be achieved in both PGRR and EPGRR.

Abstract:Through the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of traditional clustering algorithm LEACH, this paper proposes an Weight and Fitness-based Energy-Efficient Clustering routing Algorithm for WSN(WF-EECA). In the cluster-heads selection mechanism , weight factor W is introduced as adjusting parameter to choose cluster-heads,and AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process, the AHP) is also citied to work out weight coefficients; In the attribution mechanism of non cluster-head node ,the clustering clustering factor F is introduced, considering cluster-head's factors of remaining energy, distance between cluster-head and base station and nodes; Meanwhile, weight is also used in the data transmission between cluster-head and base station, by the way of multi-hop and single-hop instead of single-hop. The simulation result shows that this algorithm effectively reduces the communication energy consumption and achives an obvious improvement on the network lifetime.

Abstract:In order to promote research on tropospheric zenith delay of GNSS signals in local regions, in this paper, we firstly study the actually meteorological data of Harbin from National Meteorological Administration, and obtain the layered exponential model as the atmospheric refractive index model via the least square fitting, and thereby establish a new zenith delay model which is just relevant to the temperature of the observation station. The newly created model can better reflect the zenith delay conditions in Harbin. Not only can it give better correction than Hopfield model and Saastamoinen model, but also more convenient than these two models considering the complexity of application.

Abstract:Based on wireless sensor network location technology research ,makes the whole picture about relating technologies in wireless sensor network .A novel three-dimensional self-localization scheme LIE-3D was presented for wireless sensor networks(WSNs) after in-depth analyzing and researching several typical three-dimensional positioning. The issue of LIE-3D is to bring in grid to improve the accuracy of the positioning algorithms. The simulation results show that, compared with the existing three-dimensional localization, the LIE-3D has less computation cost and is more robust to the network topology. This algorithm makes up for some deficiencies of other algorithms and is suitable for the wireless sensor networks.

8. Cross-layer Design for MIMO Systems with Space-time Coding in Ricean Fading Channels

Abstract:In this paper, a cross-layer design (CLD) scheme for space-time coded MIMO systems over Ricean fading channel is presented by combining adaptive modulation and automatic repeat request, and the corresponding system performance is investigated. The fading gain value is partitioned into a number of regions by which the modulation is adapted in terms of the region the fading gain falls in. The fading gain switching thresholds subject to a target packet error rate (PER) are derived. According to these results, and using the generalized Marcum Q-function, we derive the theoretical formulae of the average PER and spectrum efficiency (SE) of the system with CLD in detail. As a result, closed-form expressions for average PER and SE are obtained for MIMO systems. These expressions include some existing expressions in Rayleigh channel and single antenna Ricean channel as special cases, and avoid summing from zero to infinity of existing expressions. With these expressions, the perfomance of multi-antenna system with CLD in Ricean channel is evaluated effectively. Computer simulation for average PER and SE show that the theoretical analysis and simulation are consistent, which testifies the validity of the derived theoretical formulae. The results show that the system performance will be effectively improved as Ricean factor increases.

Abstract:In cognitive radio networks (CRNs), primary users (PUs) and secondary users (SUs) adopt either cooperative or non-cooperative behaivors in order to improve network performance. In the system model we consider, each SU selects whether to cooperate with the PU or not, which is formulated as two strategies. In order to study the optimal choice of each user, we propose an imitation mechanism and we further prove the converging property of the system if applying this mechanism. Finally, we propose two algorithms: One centralized algorithm shows the converging property of the dynamic replication function. And compared with the centralized one, the other distributed algorithm which enables each user to activate imitation process provides better performance without requiring broadcast information from the central controller. Simulation results prove that the imitation mechanism efficiently makes the system converge to an equilibrium point during the process.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the heterogeneity of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) in detail, including the hardware and software heterogeneity. To meet the demands of factual applications for heterogeneous WSNs (HWSNs) models, we propose an application-oriented model with multi-type of sensor nodes, which considers the sensing, computation, communication and energy heterogeneity. Additionally, a function of optimal number of clusters is obtained as well through modeling and analyzing the energy consumption of this clustered HWSNs model, which would generalize the most of investigated clustered HWSNs models. Furthermore, the numerical analysis and simulation about the relationship between the number of clusters and network lifetime show that different number of clusters will affect the lifetime of networks obviously, and the optimal number of cluster heads maximizes the network lifetime. More importantly, this function of optimal number of clusters and the proposed clustered HWSNs model will provide guidance for designing the energy efficient clustered protocols and establish a bridge between the homogeneous and inhomogeneous WSNs.
